Good for Vladdy!
Only a matter of time before Killorn and Janosik get signed too hopefully. Those 2 along with Schemitsch and Marshall are the only other draft picks that need to be signed or lost.

He could play in the AHL next year according to these BP tweets:
Quote:
Confirmed that Namestnikov could be assigned to AHL right out of camp next year. Vladdy has played 2 OHL seasons.
The decision will come down to 1) Where he'll play the most & 2) If Yzerman thinks he's physically ready for AHL. London a great environment

Yep. He turns 20 in November so he is old enough to play in the AHL.
BP is noting that he's only played 2 seasons in the OHL, but he would have been over here quicker if not for some unexpected problems in his family.

Btw, could Namestnikov play in the NHL in this season and in playoffs, hypothetical?

I imagine he could if Schwartz in St. Louis is able to.

Yup, but does CHL and Uni. players have different kind of rules in these situations?

The Knights would have to be eliminated before he could play for the Lightning or Ads. They are the best team in the OHL though.

Okay, thanks for the info! Was chatting with friend about CHL-players coming to the NHL to play in playoffs and in last reg. season games.

Whatever St. Louis did with Schwarz, let's not do with Vlad.
Oh, did you mean Jaden Schwartz? Whenever I hear Schwar(t)z in STL, I automatically go to Marek.

Nope. The only way a junior player can be recalled to an NHL team is like how Calgary did with Sven Bärtschi in an emergency situation.
He can be loaned to Norfolk when London's season is over.
