Shouldnt you pick one player and give your reason to start?

Why not just look at the other 5,000 "best player" threads to get everyone's opinion?

Sidney Crosby is the most complete player in the NHL so it's him. Malkin is the most exciting player to watch (and may have the best high end talent) and Stamkos is the best goal scorer.

I agree with that. Although I love watching Crosby more so than Malkin.

Yeah I guess it's personal preference. I love everything about Geno and I think he's the most electrifying player. Sid has some highlight reel goals, but some of Malkin's goals are just insane (Mario like if you ask me). But I recognize Sid is a more complete player. There really aren't many weaknesses in Sid's game. Geno is average on faceoffs (used to be terrible) and at times misses dzone coverage.

all im saying is, put the post somewhere where it gets an even look from fans of every team....

Yea I love the way Malkin plays but for some reason he just has a clumsyness about him that is awkward for me. When you watch Sid skate its so fluid Crosby has some of the best hands I've ever seen. It seems like he never makes a wrong move.

Sid plays at a high level more consistently, Geno sporadically hits a level nobody can touch. I like watching Geno more and ill say hes the most skilled player in the world. Sid just has the drive that no one else has. Add that to his smarts and skillset, theres nobody better.

If Crosby is fully healthy it's him, if not, it's Geno right now. That being said, asking that here is obviously gonna get biased results. But neutral opinions would probably be pretty inline with that at least for now.

If we're talking about "complete" players, then my answer is Sid AINEC.

However, if we're talking in terms of excitement, flash, and "omg how the **** did he do that and score, or jeeeesus how did he make that pass etc." than it's easily Geno.

You can't go wrong with either player so why are we even comparing them? There's no need to compare em', just be happy they're both on our team and hopefully always will be.

As I've said before the only silver lining to the dark cloud of Sid being out this long is that we've got to see a fully revitalized Geno in Beast Mode for quite awhile. Sure we all have loved watching Geno ever since his rookie year and we all know how ridiculously awesome he is and can be on any given night. But personally speaking, if it's one thing that this season has positively given me, it's even more of an admiration for #71.

Here's to hoping he can continue to consistently play at this juggernaut level even with Sid back.

Anyone who takes Crosby or Malkin over Dupuis is clearly a bandwaggoner.

The youth of today...

Thank you . . . I want a poll here. Best in the league . . . Sid, Geno, Stamkos, or Dupuis. Anyone who's doesn't watch hockey while waving pom-pom's knows who the true #1 is.

That's the real answer . . . and Stamkos isn't even a part of that conversation.

BUT, given how these thread usually go here, I think it's safer to be totally honest and say Dupuis is better than any of them. Less aggravation . . .

Fine . . . put up a poll. Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos, Dupuis. You just wait and see how it turns out.

Given his 149 points in 2009, I feel comfortable that he will
