Being symptom free and able to skate is a long way from being in game shape. If Horton is planning on coming back, don't expect it until the third round or so.
I keep reading alot of the same, "if" the Bruins go deep in the playoffs Horty could come back. Problem with that is, the deeper this team goes (good thing) the longer Horty`s been off skate and away from the competitiveness that is playoff hockey, THAT is a huge problem IMO.

Yep (although not your return prediction)
Look guys, the fact Horton is skating and we haven't heard any mumurs of symptoms is a very very good thing. It could mean he'll be good to go and kick ass next year
But don't expect him back this playoffs, even if he's symptom free and healthy, the deeper we are the tougher it is, we can't use a guy that's been out of game shape for that long, not to mention that if we do make it deep, it likely means the team is playing really well already, so slotting in horton would mess that up.
This isn't a video game, these guys aren't toys, there isnt a ok he's healthy insert him factor to this at all

Whe the Bruins won cup last yr and it showed that coming home video where they were all on the plane,Horton did not look right there sitting on plane,He looked like his mind was in la la land,I though frig he looks confused and it was not booze either,
"If he were to be cleared at some point, he would need at least a couple of weeks to get back," Chiarelli said during a 20-minute conference call Sunday. "He's quite far off right now. I know he's skating, but he's having little bouts here and there of post-concussion symptoms. It's a long shot. I'm not going to rule him out, yet, but it's a long shot."

"I think Tuukka is a little more than day to day," Chiarelli said. "He's been pretty aggressive with his rehab. We'll see how he goes the next couple of days, but we certainly have a capable backup if we need him in Anton Khudobin."
Nate needs to be 100 % before the B's have him play. Savvy came back too soon and that didn't work out very well. My hope for Horton is he is back next Fall.
Horton at 50% would help this team. They desperately need another finisher.
He might help, but it's just not worth the risk. Not for the team (we Need him the next few years), but especially Not for him, seeing that He has 10 career seasons left, and we Know what savvy's life is like now. Just Not worth it.
I am a Nucks fan living in Vancouver and that's pretty sad. Never like to see somebody career potentially over cause of a late hit.
He got hit in January by Tom Sestito, too. It wasn't clearly to the head, and it shouldn't have someone normal out this long. The popular opinion is that he never got back to 100% after the Rome hit.
Not really worried about Horton, team has learned to play without him with the depth. What Im concerned about, especially against scoring/PP like the Caps, is Boychuk and moreso McQuaid. Seems JB will be ready for Thurs, hopefully though close to full strength. But reading more and more from B's "insiders", that McQuaids "eye" (aka concussion), could be a big problem. Just dont wanna see Corvo/Zanon as a 3rd pair. I dont mind Z, but paired with McQuaid is a solid 3rd pair. Now Zanon and Corvo, yikes.

If they absolutely MUST play Mr. Corvo, they should limit him to specialized time. 5 on 3 powerplays, empty net situations.

It was a clear blinside hit right to the head. Text book.
I'm still holding out hope we see Horton in the 2nd round if we make it that far.

Did Chia clear this with the HFboards MD's? Or at very least Mark Recchi?
Any news on McQuaid? He left the game in the second period the other night, and the announcers didn't know why. I haven't been online to read any updates and appreciate any info people can give me. I just hope that he's ok for the playoffs.
