If McQuad wore a visor he would not have gotten that cut, if it is the cut thats keeping him out

If it is a Concussion then maybe visor had just right amount of give to prevent it

Even trying to get answers on this is pointless. The team won't let anyone gameplan one way or the other. It's going to be ultra top secret, as it should.

Still frustrating for us

According to BISH on the Bruins official twitter, #54 was not skating at practice today.

Starting to think more and more that McQuaid is suffering from a concussion.

Agreed.

Leaving a game because he "Felt Funny" has concussion written all over it...

Let me ask this though.. why wouldn't just come out and say he has one...Was it not made public with Horton / Bergy last year? I get the gamemanship thing, but why not be consistent with it, we had all sorts of updates with bergy

Convinced he's got a C-word.

Real shame since he wouldn't have gotten one if he didn't dive

Any other team in the league would immediately diagnose a concussion and hope Shanny uses it in warranting a suspension.

Good question-makes me also wonder why the super to secret. Maybe McQuaid doesn't want them announcing it-I know teams are limited by privacy rules with regards to medical information.

But I do find it weird that they haven't come ut and said what it is.

Is Krejci injured? Why is his name in the thread title? Is that old?

Probably from the pane of glass falling on his head.

If players have any say at all in what information is released and when, I could see if maybe he'd ask that they don't give any updates until he's close to coming back. This is conjecture, but based on the type of guy Adam is, he probably doesn't want his injury and absence to be any more a distraction than it already is just by nature of the fact he's out.

If there's no word and that doesn't change, the questions stop being asked. However, if bits of new info trickle out here and there and the team makes statements and plays the guessing game as to when he'll come back (like with Horton at the beginning of his recovery a month or two ago), it keeps being asked about and it becomes a bit more distracting.

We can debate how distracting it really is, but I'm just saying that I can see Quaider being the type of guy who wants to do everything possible to help his team, even when he's down with an injury. If he thinks the best way to do that at the moment is to request silence about his status to minimize the attention and talk regarding his injury and allow the active players to focus on the games at hand rather than how much they miss having him around, then I think he does that.

In fact, regardless of how McQuaid feels about the release of his injury information, I can see the front office staying quiet about it for the very same reasons--give the active players every advantage possible as they try to focus and win playoff games.

Bingo, his name was listed after game 1 and was probable for game 2 not knowing how bad he was hurt when that glass fell on his head

I change the thread title to prevent heart attacks.

Good deed of the day.

I'm not saying I want guys to be injured, but it would certainly explain some of the dogs out on the ice last night.

So when do we get the injury report? I'm dying to know what's wrong with Bergeron.

Usually it takes two to three days for word to filter out, but sometimes longer.

I'm guessing Bergeron has a separated shoulder.

Sometimes, especially if a guy doesn't undergo surgery, you never hear anything at all. I recall a couple of years ago just a generic "banged up" about Chara, but I bet it was a lot more than that.

Tuukka wasn't 100% from his groin injury even though he was the back up the last few games.

My guesses:

Seguin - hand
Campbell - foot
Paille - upper body
Peverley - knee/core
JB - knee
Z - hand/nose
Seids - ribs
Bergy - shoulder/arm/nose
Marchy - foot
Krejci - shoulder

I've never seen Bergeron so lazy on the back check. That's usually his time to shine. I don't think a bum wrist would cause him to lose that much in his stride, but a bad shoulder definitely could. I'm no pro, but I imagine it's difficult to really pump into your strides with one arm.

No it`s not but....you take that many players off any other of the 15 teams in the playoffs and see how they`d play. I am a fence sitter on the injury front, the typical cliche is can`t use it as an excuse but..........it also can`t be completely ignored

Injuries force teams to move personel all around, most teams can probably withstand one or two, this team was hurting, and I`d wager whomever they would have played in round 2, woulda destroyed our boys and not due to skill

I opined in another thread that I wouldn`t be one bit shocked if we hear of 8-10 off season procedures that will be needed, minor to major
