who wins the vezina? i know it aint bryz but most people are looking at henrik but I'm thinking its gotta be jonny quick. If the Kings make the playoffs, its all because of him. same with kiprusoff. not now but if they did too. Their not sexy picks but i can't imagine where the kings would be. as far as us, at least there's a more important MVP trophy bryz has a chance to win.

Quicks the only reason that team has a shot, a month maybe a month and a half ago it was hands down Lundqvist but his less then stellar play since then may lose it for him, Quick's been consistently good all year and has had a horrendous offense in front of him all year. If he doesn't win it it's because his team couldn't get him enough wins to win it.

Quick was my pick at the beginning of the season, and I'll stick with it. I think he deserves it more.

On a separate forum each pregame I have listed players who I believe need to step it up for this team to have success in the upcoming game.

Said players I have listed so far have been Roo, Jagr, Read, Simmonds, Jake, Couts, Coulburn.

I'm guessing by now you know where I am heading with this.

Ilya Bryzgalov has indeed made my list for game four. Our Offense is not going to be able to bail out performances like he had yesterday.

It was prolly the worst I have seen him since April and quite frankly outside of one or two flash in the pan amazing saves, he has not looked spectacular or even great in this series.

This guy really needs to step it up so when we play a team that actual can play D and has a goalie that is not shaken, we can win some 2-1, 3-2 nail bitters.

Bryz buddy, make it happen.

If needed, I think he definitely has to step up. That being said, I think Wednesday night's game is going to be a laugher. The Pens are so out of focus and the Flyers are so amped up. This isn't your average 3-0 lead. Teams get complacent and relaxed and look ahead to the next series which can cost them a game or two. I think the hatred and animosity that has been building up will make the Flyers come out strong on Wednesday and the Pens will have nothing left to do but complain about how unfair the NHL has been to them and how they are not the bad guys in this series or whatever they are saying now. I'm expecting a big boot to the ass of the Penguins in an even more embarrassing fashion than the last three.

If I'm wrong and the Pens come out firing, then I am right there with saying Bryz needs to step it up and shut the door. I just don't think that will be necessary.

Bryz has been one of our best players in 2 of the 3 games.

the crazy type of games we've been playing will lend itself to a few bad goals, a few bad defensive coverages, a few odd-man rushes

if we had this Bryz in 2010, we would have beaten CHI, no doubt.

Luongo, Hank, Thomas, Howard all have losses ...... wins are all that matters, though i do want him to not give in any softies ... been 1 in each of the last 2 games

one more vs PITT ...... just need to focus on that

The last few games, Bryz has been good. Made some great stops, but has let in a softie or two. If we're going to survive the next round, we need Bryz (and our skaters) to get back into February/March form.

yeah we need him to get back to March Bryz....like Meltzer said..he hasn't been broken but he's been bent. Yesterday's game was his weakest one thus far in the playoffs. Next round I don't expect the team to outscore Bryz as they had to do earlier in the year. It just seems the Flyers have opened up their game against the Pens a bit more than what we saw the last couple of months of the season and it's made it more difficult for Bryz but also the Pens. I think Lavy has done a good job of throwing Bylsma off but we'll see if Bylsma adjusts and can rein in his pyschopathic Pens...

I think alot of his play this series is because of the opponent and theyre style of play. Pitt finished as the highest scoring team in the league.

I think in a series against NYR/Boston, his numbers/play will be much better than they are now

Did they ever show the overhead for this? It looks like the puck might have crossed the goal line looking at the replay.

They showed it from the back too if I recall and he made the save fairly...

Bryzgalov is giving up way to many soft goals. It is amazing he has three wins. He has made some great saves but if he keeps playing the way he has, the Flyers won't be going farther than the second round. You pretty much have to score 5 goals right now to get Bryzgalov a win. It's crazy. The flyer offense is frightening.

The league looked at it a million times in hope, but Bryz's glove brushed the plane of the front of the line, but it never went over it at all. Great save. No phantom goal.
