St. Louis has a great PK. They've killed off like upper 40s of PPs in a row.

I'll also wonder why Sanford wasn't pulled earlier.

Nonetheless, a pretty good effort save the PP.

I'm going to pile on now. Any GM who had Hitchcock under contract and kept Arniel needs to be sending out his resume.

Richards did not pull Sanford soon enough... the CBJ had the PP with one minute and 43 seconds to play but pulled Sanford with 58 seconds left...

45 seconds 5x3 could have been a game changer... watch the tapes

....and that's the eliminator. With the loss today, Columbus is the first eliminated from the playoff race.

Only fitting that Hitch is the one to plunge the knife in.

Technically speaking, it's not official, but it will be the next time Calgary and Colorado play each other no matter what.

Yep, we were going nuts behind the CBJ bench yelling at Richards.

Great game though!

I watched about half of this one too. One thing I will say, there appear to be more hot chicks affiliated with the team than ever before

Puck was in glove. Glove entirely crossed the goal line. Unless I'm mistaken about those two facts, shouldn't that should be called a goal?

Watching half a game where Hitchcock is the head coach of one of the teams?

Give this man a medal.

Great game tonight guys! I can't believe the Carter trade. Jack Johnson adds so much to the Jackets.

Did anyone who watched the game on TV think Hitchcock’s face showed signs of excessive redness? I'm not joking or be being dick; his face looked excessively red, rosacea like. I hope the guy is ok.

Not in Columbus

Now in Minnesota,(for the Wild mind you) that would be a goal if the puck was in the players PANTS and crossed the goal line

Thank you, thank you

To be fair, it was at the gym, and I only left because an obnoxious redneck came into the room and turned on some movie really loud... probably so he could hear it over his music on his headphones he was wearing?

I can't wait! A better NHL goalie wouldn't have allowed that second goal.

Back from the game. Well, actually, I have been back for a while.

Anyway.

How many freaking times can Umberger screw up cross crease passes? Just amazing!

All you Nash lovers out there will probably jump to his defense, but I thought he was the worst player on the ice tonight. In my estimation, he floated all night, and didn't do a damn thing.

Byers on the 2 on 0. That was truly pathetic. How do you not even get a shot off? Watch the replay and you will see what I mean.

Sanford would really, really like to have that second goal back.

Having said all of that, I actually enjoyed this game. Great effort when half your team is AHL caliber.

Besides, with the way Edmonton is tanking, we need a few losses, and I would rather they be to the Blues, who I will be cheering for in the play-offs.

I can't say Nash tore it up but he played a decent game, as good as anyone else that is (I watched on TV), we must remember SL is one of the best defensive teams in the NHL...

St Louis is a prime example of what good goaltending will do for a team. Look at tonight, Halak was a standout in goal. Half of our team is AHL quality now, we need NHL quality next year, starting in goal

Agree, Howson needs to get a decent veteran or semi veteran goalie then work from there. I think Sandy would be a fine backup but we need a starting goalie that can lead and play with confidence even in the worst of situations.. we will see.
