2012 Playoffs Discussion Thread

If Tampa doesn't make the playoffs, who will you cheer for?

A couple of my friends asked me this today, and I was wondering what everyone else thought. Me personally will be cheering Nashville from the West and NJ from the East if the Bolts don't make it.

Whoever is playing against a team who's pick belongs to us.

(And Nashville)

Nashville. No one in the East, that would be sacrilege.

NJ in East, and a bunch in the west.

If Tampa isn't in it, I just hope to see good, intense, back and forth hockey in every game. If I had to choose, Chicago in the West and Giroux in the East

Really interested in seeing the West matchups, but at this point I have very little care for most of the East teams. I want to see the Flyers and Pens go at it, but that's about it.

I will be following Detroit but not really cheering for them. At this point id prefer they win to the other teams but i never know what happens in the playoffs that will pique my interest.

Nobody....seriously. Actually, I will correct myself.

I'll cheer for the Craps to choke....a good bet...and Ovenchicken to disappear again.
The cats to choke on a hairball.
The Jets to crash and burn if they make it in.
Matt Cooke to have his knees taken out in the first game of the first round and an early exit.
The Flyers to have a meltdown in goal as usual.
The Bruins to have half their team suspended for cheap hits.
Chris Neil of the Sens to suffer the same malady as Matt Cooke. But I don't hate the Sens.

So I guess that just leaves the Rangers and New Jersey.

As for the West...I really don't care as long as Boudreau doesn't make it I'll be happy.

No one for sure in East, not cheering for any special team in West either but if I have to pick one it would be Nashville.

Nashville and St.Louis

Especially Nasville if they go against Red Wings in the 1st round.

Nashville and St. Louis! And if I had to chose a team in the East: New Jersey and maybe the Rangers.

Nashville and Colorado in the West.

In the East, the Panthers. But that is strictly for the piss everybody else off that a Florida team is winning factor. And I will feel sleazy doing it.

I can't really root for anyone in the East, although the cats would certainly piss off everyone on the forums, so that could be fun. In the West, I have a soft spot for Nashville, and it would also be cool for the Blues to win it to rub it in Buffalo, Washington, and Vancouver's faces about never winning a cup.

None in particular. I generally don't like the media ***** teams like Boston, Philly, New York, Chicago and Detroit. Definitely have no interest in Pittsburgh.

This. My only regret is that both FL teams won't be in the dance...Love when "non-traditional" markets tip over all the elitist apple carts.

Preds. I really wanted a Preds/Lightning final last year. This board and Canada would cease to exist.

Can't bring myself to even partially root for the Panthers.

Seriously...a team who has never one the cup would be nice.

Nashville, Phoenix, and Blues.

In the East I wouldn't mind if Florida does good but I won't actively be pulling for them, every other team in the East I hope goes down into a pit of fire.

I'd like to see how far Ottawa takes their young team. See what Torts can do with Rangers/playoffs. See what Philly can do with the new look. Don't care bout much else but I literally watch every game so doesn't matter. Nashville out West for sure. STL for the cup. Detroit will dominate. Wouldn't mind seeing Flames keep the 8th. Vancouver losing to STL in the WCF. Would like to see a Canadian team win though .

In the east: Rangers, Bruins. In the West: Predators, Coyotes, Sharks. If they're all out I'll let you know.
