Damn near had a heart attack, but happy for the win. Carts and Rick prove their value to the team each game.

Seriously??? Carts and Rick???

To each their own I guess.

Meh, I'll just stick to Carter and Richards.

I stopped calling Richards "Cannon" over the last month because I've been so disappointed in him. After tonight, Cannon proved his worth. I'm glad he got a chance in the SO.

He usually is, was kind of dismayed to see him chippy out there, but rebounding the puck on the shootout is pure bull ****.

I was really sad to hear the guys in the intermission rip into DD like they hate his game and his guts. Those jabs and the tone they used almost seemed like they were purposely trying to disrespect him. News worthy insults there. With all that said, Drew was simply terrible once again. More bad than good at key situations. How can this be happening?

Say what? Kane has never shown an ounce of class on the ice, in the lockerroom or on the streets. When your captain (Toews) goes out of his way to rake his character over the coals at last years all star game it says a lot.

Maybe for the 1st time ever, Milbury was right. Doughty needs to be much, MUCH better.

He has been rather ordinary this year.

Sounds a lot like a bigger Ziggy Palffy. Mind you, he's nothing like Ziggy but the descriptions are identical to the guy we thought we were getting from the Isle. Ziggy proved to be so much more.

Ultimately, our season is in the hands of San Jose. Ourselves too, given we can't lose more than 2-3 games now, but mostly San Jose. They are our prime competitor for #8, they play every single other team that we are competing against (Flames, Coyotes (twice), Avalanche, and Stars (twice), and they play us 3 more times before this season is out. We have to win that series against them, and we have to keep winning to hurdle over them and/or the pacific teams they are also playing against in bunches... It's all on the Sharks. Hope they suck...

Milbury did not say Doughty needed to be better. That would be responsible and intelligent of him.

The play that Milbury was talking about was just him picking a highlight for his convenience. Milbury is the HFBoard of TV analysts. Everything is based on one play and nothing else matters. He just wants to talk ****.

Also, the play that lead to the penalty shot was caused by a take away on Williams. If that doesn't happen, Doughty is in the slot to shoot or get a rebound. Williams gives it up, but it was also good defense to take it away.

You can't ask a player to take a risk then ignore all the other stuff that he does and the other stuff that happens to cause a play. Doughty is not playing in a vacuum. There are other Kings and a whole other team you are playing against.

Is Mike Milbury more of an idiot, or more of an ***hole? It doesn't even matter.

He's a bad analyst. End of ******* story.

Mike Milbury must have been bullied on when he was a kid. Now he sits behind a desk(has been behind a desk for quite some time, actually) and feels he can say anything he wants (it's obviously not only against Doughty).

If it had been someone else saying it I would have thought differently. But holy heck its Mike Milbury, the worst GM ever who badmouths everyone he can. And that penalty shot was on Williams turnover, Doughty was doing the right thing on offense.

Screw it ... it's NOT over ... we're MAKING THE PLAYOFFS !!! DAM THE NAYSAYERS !! I SAY NAY to the NAY !!! GO KINGS !!!
FWIW, as one of the "negative voices", I don't feel like my opinions are being suppressed.

I don't throw comments in a PGT just to run the post count up, especially in a game like this. I don't either team looked particularly good and the officiating was horrific for both teams - so what do you want me to say? Great game? Well, it wasn't. I'm glad the Kings won, but if they play like that for the next couple of weeks, there won't be ANY posts in the Kings playoff PGTs - or any playoff game day threads for that matter.

IMO, that's not being negative.
