Haha, so I guess we should unleash Garrioch and Brennan on him. They could end up being useful for something after all

It would be a bit wierd for fans in Ottawa in all places to start chanting "Obama"... Not saying anyone should chant "Harper" or anything, but it would be a bit wierd sounding, and could backfire on the main boards. just sayin.

I don't think 19,000 people would be thinking about what people on HF boards thought in the middle of the chants.

Anything referencing Obama or the white house would be good imo, it could go one of two ways, Thomas gets angry and plays lights out, OR he completely folds under the pressure! It would be rather satisfying to watch the second that's for sure, also if it was somehow succesful i think you would start to see larger similar efforts by other fans, especially around playoff time i mean any edge you can get right???

They looked pretty bad for a couple weeks after it happened

Someone should also sit behind the Boston net with an 'Obama 2012' sign or bumper sticker or whatever.

Sit at the box with a white house picture and when they get a penalty

Thomas will still be the only one who refuses to visit it

thomas will thrive on any chants against him....its pretty simple here the only way ottawa has any shot at beating boston is if peverly and horton dont return and even them sens would need a whole lot of luck boston owns ottawa look at the games played the past 5 seasons between sens and bruins boston has won 85%

The reason I suggested "O-Ba-Ma" or "Yes We Can" chants, was directly related to the "Silver Medal" chants in Winnipeg. Can you guys see Sens fans chanting "O-Ba-Ma"?? Do you think we have it in us??? Winnipeg fans brought it to a whole new level...

I like how your first post was in a different teams forum.

The post season is totally different from the regular season. Anything can happen. Just because Boston has won the majority of the games the past few years, it doesn't mean they'd be a lock for winning a 7 game series against us.

EDIT: I think O-Ba-Ma could potentially get to Thomas.
Don't want to go off topic.

Obama chants would be sweet. And I'm positive it would get to Thomas.

Thing is, how do you get everyone to start chanting it. Since only people on this board will know what's going on.

Have someone bring a sign that says something about Thomas and Obama. Then that person just has to try and start the chant. I'm sure there would be at least one person on the board going to a game

Výser si oko Jurčo!
Leave him alone, go after Gormley! GO AFTER GORMLEY!
BREAK MACKINNON'S NECK!
(softly as MacKinnon is skating by) 'I can't wait for the NHL to chew you up and spit you out, Lindros.'

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadeauuuuu uuuuu
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaplebyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Oh, so many others... We pissed Couturier off pretty well...

You either need glass seats or to get the whole crowd on board, but heckling players does a good job of shutting players down.

If the Bruins are as touchy about the issue as the Bruins fans are in the thread on the main board, then this chant will really get to them

i think it would piss them off including thomas and work against the other team.
generally not a good idea to piss off a team with more talent than you.

You are correct, the Bruins are ripe for a shellacking.

Lets wait till the matchups are confirmed once we know the Bruins for sure we Twitter bomb the Ottawa sports media to get the rumour going. White shirts welcome to the white house would be awesome.

That's another good way to get the idea out there
