well deserved

I was checking out some stats on nhl.com, Kovy is the only forward in the top 50 of time on ice per game, it's a pretty funny list to look at, he'll be playing 20 mins a game until he's 40 lol... 6'3 230 what a freak of nature

I actually believe Kovy might be the most underrated player right now. Well over a PPG, crazy insane TOI, and is a -3.

Most improved player? Last year he was a -26 and WAY under a PPG. Unbelievable turn around in his play year to year.

I can't wait to see this new and improved Kovy in the playoffs. He's now a true two-way game breaker, who can win the game for us, and can be relied upon not to lose it. Before, he was a double-edged sword. Now, he is a fearsome weapon leading a deep forward corps.

He's still a double-edged sword.

Except both edges are facing toward the opponents instead of his teammates.

Same player, the pucks are just going in.

He's as great as he was from the beginning.

Is it weird that I'm proud of him for becoming a two way player?

maybe if Atlanta still had a team it would but since they don't it would be weirder if you weren't actually...

I love him. He's backing up his words with his improved play. If he can continue to raise his level of play, I believe he can lead this team to a deep playoff run.

For some reason, I hear Homer Simpson say this.

Perfectly said.

Is two-way Kovy Jim`s biggest nightmare or his biggest dream? Who knows.

^ It's his biggest nightmare because he now has zero to complain about when it comes to Kovy.

It's also his biggest dream because he dreams it's his biggest nightmare that he's wrong about something.

Am I making any sense?

No?

Carry on, then.

Dunno bout that. Seems much more dangerous and much less mistake prone. Perhaps it's just a matter of being acclimated to the team, and not so much a better effort/mindset, but I see a pretty clear difference between now and when he first got here.

Who is this Kulechuk guy ???

And why did we give up soo much for him. What a terrible move by Lou. Just set the franchise back 15 years.

Fantastic again last night.
Even the Cannuck swooning NHL writters are now saying he could be a Hart Candidate.

I wonder, who has the most points in 2012?

Nope. It's yet another debt this franchise owes to Jacques Lemaire, teaching him how to be defensively responsible. And of course, much credit to Kovy himself for being able to apply his talents in a new direction and become a more complete player in order to fit with his new team.

I can't speak for Jim, but for me, two-way force Kovy is the dream. I said I'd be happy if Kovy could replicate what Mogilny did to fit in here. Kovy has done that and more.
