Actually, the Pack are one of the less penalized teams in the league this season (at least in times shorthanded). The AHL refs seem to be calling a lot this year. I remember one box score where a team (Albany?) has 18 power plays.

The AHL is trying to eliminate the clutch-and-grab play that brought about the Stafford/Perezhogin stick swinging incident back in May during the playoffs. It's been discussed alot here in Cleveland (since Staff plays here) and the refs are calling just about everything.

Right, there's no reason to get all upset about 2 losses. They'll definitely bounce back!!

The Stafford/Perezhogin incident was so bad it made espn nhl tonight during the playoffs last year. The year suspension was well deserved. No need for that.

At least Charlotte and Jacksonville won decisviely last night.

1 assist each for Helminen and Falardeau and Taylor had his first pro fight in a pretty rough game. The line of Harder/Dawe/Jamieson has been doing the heavy lifting, though.

Jacksoville won their home opener and coach Duguay is still undefeated at 5-0.

Error: Jacksonville still hasn't played their home opener. They're 5-0, all on the road and have beaten every team in the SPHL once.
