Kind of off topic, but what about having Theo Fluery as a shoot-out coach?

I'd probably hate the idea of a shoot-out coach but we'd definitely could use something of that nature.

Well look at how many games we took to the shoot-out. Imagine if we won 90% of those because we had a person designated to review scouting reports on goalies during the shoot-out, and a person who's researched the newest and most innovative ways to "approach" the goalie. How many extra points would that be?

I'd like to see one coach designated towards shoot-outs and face offs. If you find ways to dominate in those areas, that could be the difference of 5 to 10 points in the regular season IMO.

I've thought of Quinn too but with the Flames needing to get younger you may want a coach who's better with young players. Didn't Quinn have a reputation for favouring veterans in places like Toronto?

Alot of young players are better at the shoot out as there is no book on them and they have usually practiced it abit more. Maybe with in the influx of youth that is coming over the next year or two would be enough to make us better at the shoot out?

That's true. But hopefully our goalie coach is giving Kipper/Irving the scouting report and analysis on the opposition's regular 3 players in the shoot-out.

Keep Theo Fleury as far away from the team as you can. They guy is poison in the clubhouse and the last thing you want is him rubbing off on your young players.
