Haven't seen it anywhere on here but Jeremy Mincey and Dwight Lowery have both been re-signed by the Jags.

Like I said yesterday, he's good player and I think he'll be a good fit in the Vikings offense. Technically he'll be a back up to Rudolph but the Vikings run a lot of two TE sets so both guys will be out there quite a bit.
I thought he would be cheaper though. Vikings still aren't spending a lot on their TEs because Rudolph is so cheap but I expected Carlson to get less than $5M/yr.

Odd choice
Figured he would eventually go to a place in which the #1 is on shaky ground or injury prone ,,, Going to Dallas Orton could possibly not see much action

Puke-worthy to me. Franchise tag this year was 5.446 mil... or roughly the average value of the contract we gave our injured #2 TE.
Absolutely needed to get a vet TE. With a surprising glut available on the market: Shiancoe, Shockey, Clark, Bennet, Carlson, Pope, Scaife, Tamme and likely Cooley before long... we went all-out to lock-up Carlson.
It would be one thing if TE was a dire need... but it isn't even in the top-10.
