When was episode 4 aired. Shaw is really letting down me with oil change. I have set a series recording 100 times and it never records. Was the last oil change episode like 3 months ago or have I been missing out
Oil Change season 3 - "things really change this time!"
A documentary celebrating losing . And not just losing , finishing dead last .
Watching the games is bad enough , can't understand why this show is so popular .

Because it's a slightly behind the scenes look at our favorite team.
I'm assuming you'd rather us finish dead last and have no documentary?

good one and point taken .
I'm glad there is a documentary about the team for those fans who are so dedicated to the Oil that they eagerly await the next installment of the packaged highlights from 300 games of the worst hockey ever seen in Edmonton . If anything that shows dedication .
And shame on Katz , Lowe and Tamby for giving great fans like that so little to cheer about .
its not celebrating anything sock chucker, its documenting the transition from the old team to the new team. its a documentary, hence the narration. by the way, the flames board is that way,if you wanna go hate on the oilers go do it over there with folks who might sympathize with you.
I wish they would spend less time recapping the games.....I already watched it once and it wasn't that much fun.
If I was in charge of choosing what went into the show I would only focus on dressing room stuff and maybe some interesting bench conversation when talking about the actual games. Significant games aside (ex. the Gagner game). That's pretty special and should be focussed on a little more.
I like seeing how they train and what its like on the road away from the games, that kind of thing. Management conversations are also pretty interesting.
It's absolutely ridiculous that they aired this on a friday night, during a BOA. It's like they dont want people to watch it...
At least the first replay is... during another Oilers game.
Ya that was amazing scheduling by CityTV...but the Sportsnet airing is definitely after the Oil game tmrw (they cant show the game and Oil Change at the same time)

Its an excellent point that I wonder about as well. Editorially they seem to be following the 24/7 format by going through games in detail.
Its as if the intended audience is people that don't watch the games and require the background. If they want to setup a "mood of the team" seque they don't have to show all the gory game details. Just preface with narrative that the Oilers have lost 8 games in a row and then pan to the dropped jaw faces in dressingroom and Horcoff waxing on about something.
Given our brutal seasons some of the content should come with a "depression advisory" . Theres women and children watching. No reason for them to be exposed to all the senseless pain..
I agree. What I liked best about the first year was the interaction of the players outside the game or Mic'd during a game. This year seems to be more of a watch the lowlights of the season and get depressed.
