If I didn't work out for a year and then hit the gym for 12 hours straight*, the next day I would wake up and play with half the stiffness of Gabby***.

*Meaning i'd be stiff as hell.
***Meaning Gabby plays with twice as much stiffness as I would play with in my stiffest of states.

I get it that Gabby killed your unborn son, slept with your wife, and then kicked your dog, but the irrational hate towards him got old two months ago.

He is the fastest, most agile and elusive skater on this team. McDonagh is fantastic also, but I give the edge to Gabby.

McDonagh, actually is the surprise answer. He can skate as well as defenseman in the league.

The distinction is between skating ability and pure speed. Hagelin and Gaborik are faster. McD is the better skater.

I know everyone wants to be all, "I really know the rangers I'm going to vote for the guy who is lesser known to show how I really know the rangers oh so well," but Gabby wasn't just voted the fastest skater in the NHL, he was voted the best skater in the entire NHL. So any answer other than Gabby is silly. McD and Hagelin are great, Hagelin might just be up there in terms of pure speed too. But when you talk about the best skater it has to be Gaborik. He's not just our best skater, he's the NHL's best skater.

As some of have mentioned, McDonagh is the answer. Gaborik and Hagelin would've bounced off Kovalchuk like a bad check.

NHLers are stupid. They remember the couple times per game that Gaborik broke away from them. They don't pay attention to the 98% of the time when he is floating or the times when he looks like he's searching for his oil can.

Don't care because it's not true. Gaborik is fast but if I was going to mimic a players skating it would be Crosby. He's got it all in the skating department.

Power and acceleration, Gaborik hands down. Hagelin is very quick though.

All around is Gaborik, Then McD. Speed goes to Hags.

Hags definitely has the most pure speed. With his quickness he could become our best skater in the near future (if he isn't already), but right now I'd say Gabby. McD is exceptional for a d-man though.

with the puck on his stick? Gaborik.

otherwise Hagelin.

If i need one player to win a race for a puck at the end of a long shift? Callahan.
