So a local lawn care company hit my car last week. While it was parked in front of my house.

My car is totaled at over 9 grand worth of damage.
It was my first car and would've lasted me a few more years. Luckily the guy didn't leave the scene so the company's insurance is compensating.

I've been looking around and car shopping is not as fun as I hoped. I need to decide if I should get a car that is more expensive then the insurance money or buy a newer car and have a car payment.

Car payments suck. Find something around what your insurance company is willing to pay you and make do.

Nope, but it's one place I'm going to look when our van bites the dust.

Acquiring research credit for Psych/Comm classes is one of the most mind numbingly dull tasks that has ever been given to me. Holy crap the drudgery.

Communications. Ugh.

I'd take Theory of Computation over that stuff. Don't tell that to my mum or older sister though, they actually got their Masters in it. Boggles the mind.

Teradata here. PIs and correct joins are a must.
And we have many millions of records to sift through.

As far as Clock's response. Are those DBAs For real? Wow.

I love the classes, I'm really into the major.

But the research...the 200 question surveys which are basically the same 6 questions over and over and over.

I stared at a screen for 45 minutes memorizing sets of numbers so I could report back which had the bigger font size. Over 300 sets. Holy. Hell.

I took Com101 and got a 4.0. I only went to one class. I had a younger guy basically take the class for me. I'm not making this up.

Oh college.

I'm hoping to pull off some kind of miracle in my Linguistics class along those lines.

I'm really looking forward to next year. I'm taking a class in Persuasion that basically is the beginners course to becoming the guy from Lie to Me.

PI in this case is primary index.
Suggest you use a tool for the sybase database that can do a showplan/queryplan. Get the sybase optimizer to look at your query. Then take the results, stick it in the "DBAs" (I use that term loosely) face.

Deeeeeeeeeeeerp. I figured the I was probably "Index." Wow.

I'd do the rest, but I'm just a lowly consultant. Don't want to make too many waves. YET.

Just finished the Hunger Games trilogy.

Meh. Movie and book one were decent. Not really thrilled with the other two books. I'll probably pass on the movies.
