Craziest thing I've sen in a game was in the OHL. Erie vs. Windsor. A then injured Michael Liambas (yeah, the guy who hit fanelli) comes out of the players box upstairs, sprints around the concourse, runs down the steps and tries to climb into the penalty box to fight a windsor player. He had to be restrained by an Erie cop stationed by the penalty box. Most people thought it was some random fan, only the regulars realized it was actually an otters player.
He is done as a pro? Some of you are a bit dramatic.
Of course he flipped..and will get suspended...but he wasn't out there using his stick as an axe like some of you are making this out to be.
I dont know that people are saying hes done just based off of this particular incident. Hes a terrible hockey player too, he cant skate and hes not exactly long winded so his days as a pro were pretty much numbered anyways, this only made it worse. The days of having talentless enforcers are nearly gone in the NHL. These days you have to be at least moderately talented even as an enforcer to make an NHL roster. Now, someone just needs to send that memo to the Flyers.....
I've seen it, and I've seen things 100 times worse in the AHL. He'll probably get suspended for a couple of games but its not a major deal, in my opinion. JB barely gave it a mention in his game report in the Wilkes-Barre papers.
Exactly. Reading the description in the original post, i was expecting something much worse. He'll get a well-deserved suspension, but other than that there's not much more to make out of this.
He wasn't on WBS clear day roster so he's probably pi$$ed and knows his hockey career is over after this season. The guys love him as a teamate. I guess he's a real nice guy off the ice but he can't play hockey and what he's good at really isn't needed anymore.
