AHL officials should carry tasers.

Craziest thing I've sen in a game was in the OHL. Erie vs. Windsor. A then injured Michael Liambas (yeah, the guy who hit fanelli) comes out of the players box upstairs, sprints around the concourse, runs down the steps and tries to climb into the penalty box to fight a windsor player. He had to be restrained by an Erie cop stationed by the penalty box. Most people thought it was some random fan, only the regulars realized it was actually an otters player.

I'm trying to find what warranted the match penalty here? Abuse of official? or when he was slamming the player to the ice?

Maybe I've seen way too many brawls during my years watching hockey, but I don't see anything outrageous about what MacIntyre did to suggest life time bans or the sort.

Something similar to the Jeff Kugel incident is what I was expecting to see based on the reactions in this thread.

He just blatantly goes after the goalie, then starts swinging at ANYONE he can. He slams a player to the ice, punches his without stopping while defensively, and hits a few refs too.

To top it off, he attacks a defenseless goaltender, without giving him a chance to fight back.

Big Mac looked like a complete jackass. There's no need for this in the game of Hockey.

He is done as a pro? Some of you are a bit dramatic.

Of course he flipped..and will get suspended...but he wasn't out there using his stick as an axe like some of you are making this out to be.

I dont know that people are saying hes done just based off of this particular incident. Hes a terrible hockey player too, he cant skate and hes not exactly long winded so his days as a pro were pretty much numbered anyways, this only made it worse. The days of having talentless enforcers are nearly gone in the NHL. These days you have to be at least moderately talented even as an enforcer to make an NHL roster. Now, someone just needs to send that memo to the Flyers.....

Exactly. Reading the description in the original post, i was expecting something much worse. He'll get a well-deserved suspension, but other than that there's not much more to make out of this.

He wasn't on WBS clear day roster so he's probably pi$$ed and knows his hockey career is over after this season. The guys love him as a teamate. I guess he's a real nice guy off the ice but he can't play hockey and what he's good at really isn't needed anymore.

In case anyone is interested, his Twitter tag is @Smacker33

He talks a lot about hunting and fishing, very little about hockey.

I saw like 1.5 seconds of fight in that video. The rest was horrible camera work and the announcer saying "Steve MacIntyre!" about 30 times

Ohhh so Big Mac was the one going berzerk? Gee, judging by the announcing, I thought maybe they were calling him for help.

"MacIntyre....MacIntyre...Steve MacIntyre. And MacIntyre needs the handcuffs"

Holy repetition Batman. We know who the **** he is.
