Oilers lose 3-2

Petry is awesome.

Prendergast makes up for the Mihknov/Niinimaki debacles with that pick, in my mind.

Positives tonight- Hall, And Defense with the exception of Potter

Eberle has slipped below PPG

Petry played absolutely sick, he's so strong in his own zone.

Umm... LOL at having Horcoff and Smyth, the two worst puck handlers/passers in the league out there in the end trying to score the tying goal! You wonder why we didn't ever get possession.

Horcoff must be funneling half of his contract to Renney in the form of bribe money for all this ice time at the end of the game.

Interested in seeing how Galchenyuk does coming back from injury.

It's becoming clear that Gagner needs a rather lengthy set of coattails ahead of him to produce, and Horcoff sure isn't a top 2 center, although he did a great job against Thornton at ES tonight.

I'm fairly numb at this stage.

Petry was great, Hall scored, Shultz played well.

Dubnyk played sub-par, Omark still can't get **** done, Gagner is forever meh. Horcoff is still terrible.

Rinse-repeat next game.

At least Flames fans won't be happy.

Another game with only a single PP.

Yeah. I get the feeling he's still learning the pro game, but even on raw talent alone the guy appears to be a 30G scorer.

P.S. I missed the end of the game. What did Smyth do to get a 10 min misconduct?

Great: Petry. He has turned into Superman all of a sudden.

Decent: Hall, Smid and Schultz at least Whitney scored a goal

Laughably bad: The rest of the "team" and the "coach". I give Eberle and Nuge a pass because they are kids and have been carrying their weight for the most part.
The vets just need to go away, i really can't stand any of them. They should be ashamed of themselves, compete jokes. They are just collecting paychecks and aren't even playing hockey anymore, shameful.

Goal tending is Killing this team. Its absolutely deflating just to know Dubnyk is in net let alone when he lets in the inevitable first goal. I am for one would be an extremely happy fan if hes not on the team next year.

Tambellini an co. are so lucky that they're managing a team in this market. In any other market that building would be half empty at the stage. If we couldn't beat the Sharks and the level of compete that they've been bringing over the past dozen games then the prospects don't look too good for wins over the final 13.

I got a kick out of Ferraro's "the Oilers' PK has done a good job for them as of late." Yeah, you haven't been watching very many games, bud. Every time we're on the PK lately (which isn't often, mind you) we seem to get scored on.

SJ broadcast crew comment : "Yup ... that's how a goal scorer finishes right there" . Hall's speed is pretty amazing .

Terrible game from the Gagner line . Hemsky was the best of a bad lot but that line was just pitiful all night long .

Could Petry really be this good ?

Omark doing nothing with what he is given.

Gagner and Hemsky were once again invisible.

The entire second line needs a complete makeover next season.

Dubynk lets in more weak goals.

The kid line can't create much even strength.

Smyth continues to shoot the puck from an area where he will never score again.

Horcoff continues to whiff.

Jones continues to look like he is making himself useful out there, but really not accomplishing anything.

Potter continues to make at least one play per game where he looks like a complete moron.

This ****ing season. Just ****ing end already.

This.

Everyone under 25 should go on strike or something.

Smyth beaking the linesman at the end of the game was down right embarrassing.

Hey, the Oil Kings playoffs start very soon!!! Woot woot!! You should be able to trade any remaining Oiler tickets for Oil Kings playoff tickets. 2 for 1.

Minny seems like they could use some offense.

Gagner for Gilbert.

Draft one of the Russian centers

The Oilers should't have signed him to that contract.

It's beyond comprehension how often a slow moving puck would just get by an Oiler for absolutely no reason.

Ugh, god, Linus Omark. Ugh. I swear every time I see him with the puck he gets owned and the other team transitions the puck to our zone. Omark stinks.
