Awful. I hate this.

So to reunite the two 10 year 27 year old's that the Flyers couldn't wait to get rid of we had to deal Simmonds, Schenn, a 1st, a 2nd and Jack Johnson.

Lombardi should be shot. This is one of the worst years as a Kings fan. I am so furious.

All because Dean couldn't draft forwards. I don't know, I'm upset.

Bob McKenzie just said on-air that they're "just waiting for confirmation." We're at threat-level Midnight here, people.

Not entirely true. If the whole team didn't underperform to historic levels, this trade might not happen either.

C'mon, this isn't THAT bad. I bet you that you'll change your tune next year.

That looks great. Add in Voynov and hopefully swap out the bottom 6 next training camp and it is just what we need. Love the cap space. Let's get Parise!

Yup. As soon as the Hammond post went up and he mentioned Johnson by name, I knew it was done.

Adding a couple more guys may leave the Kings with 8 million in cap. Add Gagne to LTIR if that's possible and he's not healthy, it does give the kings options. Obviously the biggest problem is giving Quick a huge raise in 2 years.

i don't mind tradeing jj so much as i ll be upset if the frist round pick goes with him. La shouldnt trade that then the frist pick we have is in the 4th round thats crazy this is a good draft we need the frist. Id rather give up loti then the frist after all he dont have a snowballs chance to be in the top 6 role he needs to be in then

How comfortable is Carter playing wing? Has he played a full season as a winger? Flyers fans seem doesn't seem to think he's comfortable playing wing.

He scored 36 goals on wing last season. I'm going to go look up some older GDT's to see if played wing when he scored more. Looks good to me.

The difference is, with Richards and Carter at the top of the Flyers depth chart, Giroux couldn't rise to the top, and the Flyers were not about to invite internal problems on their team by demoting the two of them.

The Kings don't have to worry about that situation. Kopitar was already firmly in place at the top of the depth chart. Richards and Carter won't be holding him down, they are already understood to be 1B to Kopitar's 1A from the day they arrive.

DL was going to do something so I'm glad it's not a huge overpayment for Nash.

If it is Johnson and a 1st, then it's not too bad considering it is the trade deadline and LA is desperate. While Voynov isn't as strong as Johnson, he does look for the hit along the boards and has surprised a few wingers with his physicality. Now the revolving #6 defensemen will probably have some Hickey in the mix. If Hickey is not traded and DL is still here next season, there is no way he doesn't get a look.

If Parise can be had in the off-season (hopes are not up), then I think everyone will love this trade. As of right now, it's sad to see a guy leave who signed a nice contract to stay here for a long time. It's even worse to know that, in the end, it's not even his play that is getting him shipped out but rather the complete ineptitude of this team's forward corps. That should be the message that DL sends this team: Jack had to go because you fools are not cutting it.

Also, Bernier has zero value. CBJ needs goaltending in a bad way and they would rather have a 1st round pick. He's nothing but potential that has not been close to realized. He's a 1st round pick from 2006 that has played like 30 games in the NHL.

Exactly why I've been clamoring for this trade for weeks.

Also, Bernier's value is not zero. It's not as high as some people would think, but his abilities are known around the NHL. It's not his fault he doesn't get started.
