Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Sabres can use an emergency recall for someone that's been suspended..........think I remember hearing/reading that somewhere........

Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers has been suspended, without pay, for three games for boarding Montreal Canadiens forward Scott Gomez during NHL Game #1033 in Buffalo on Monday, March 12, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Myers will forfeit $14,189.19. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
The incident occurred at 13:11 of the third period. A minor penalty for boarding was assessed on the play.
I understand the suspension. It was dangerous, but wow, try to find some consistency in your bans instead of pulling out random **** out a hat. It's so stupid, you never know what you're going to get with this ****ing idiot. He's worse than Campbell.
Reasons for 3 games off the top of my head: Reactionary/blind retaliation type hit, targeted head area, player did not have puck. My guess is he would have gotten a game at most if he wasnt acting after being hit in the face.

If Gomez had the misfortune of suffering a slight concussion on the play and was out indefinitely, how many would Myers have gotten? 10? For a first time offender? I guess our mammoth thug defender has arrived.
And it's ridiculous for a Sabres fan to bring up the Zubrus hit as a prior incident, someone please correct me but wasn't that hit reviewed and regarded as legal after considering both players size and the circumstances of the play?
Considering the history (Myers had a stern talking to by Shanny) and the way it all went down, I expected a 1 game.
But 3? Well, I'll waste my time by typing, I hope this kind of hit gets 3 games automatic from here on out. But I doubt it.
