Overall, I felt like the Blues played awful. The penalty's were all deserved, minus the Sobotka one, but, given where the ref was on that play, it would have appeared to be boarding, rather than perhaps interference on Sharp, or, more likely, no penalty either way. I felt like there were a few offsides calls that were called/not called that clearly made a difference, particularly on the 1st Chicago goal. All of this said, when you play as bad as the Blues did, with the lack of discipline that they showed, you get more calls against you, even the ticky tacky ones, because the officials are more aware of your actions, due to what has happened over the course of the game.
We got a point, which we didn't really deserve. The 1st Chicago goal was offsides, but, if they had a 6 on 5 at the end of the game, I'm not sure they wouldn't have scored, because we surely wouldn't have been able to clear the puck. We looked tired, and when one call went wrong, it got to the team, it happens.
It's great to be saying that we were horribly outplayed but still got a point, because we've spent the last few years saying the opposite.
