Wth are you talking about? Niners offer the best chance at a Championship.
Yes, because a championship means everything...if thats the case he wouldve signed already. I want Manning on the team just as much as anyone else, Im just doubting this news.

Just doing his due diligence. Any smart player would.
What news are you doubting? Did Greg Roman and Jim Harbaugh not fly to North Carolina? Did Peyton not work out for them? Did he not take a physical for them? These are all lies? Or they just did this to scare Alex? Because that's laughable...

You know how much money he has right now?
I would just about guarantee a championship is all he cares about now.
Eli: 2
Peyton: 1
I'm pretty sure he wants that to change.
That being said, I would still be very surprised if he signs with the 49ers. Although if Alex Smith can learn Harbaugh's system that quickly I can't imagine what Peyton could do with a whole offseason.
Moss, Manningham (possibly), VD, Crabs, Gore, Hunter... Also heard a potential return of Brandon Lloyd in the rumor mills...
If we can re-sign Smith as QB, this offense can take off if everything goes right. I trust in Harbaugh, as long as he continues to open up the offense. It baffled me at times at how it was conservative, but, we have to grow as a team and Year 2 of Harbaugh could be epic.
Why does it baffle you? Smith is a backup QB, at best. If they sign Manning, then Manningham makes sense.

Well only Peyton Manning himself knows if thats true or not. And you can never have too much money. If it was as easy as deciding which team would give him the best chance at the championship, then why hasnt he signed yet? Should be an easy choice, no? Between the Broncos, Titans, and Niners, its pretty much a no brainer. I have no doubts that he wants a championship but thats not the only thing that hes thinking about.

Denver's defense is pretty good, and with a real QB (this coming from a Tebow fan), they are an instant contender.
It'll be interesting to find out if SF is for real or not. I still think that last year was a fluke, mostly due to an incredibly weak schedule, but they will have an opportunity to prove me wrong.

I agree only Peyton knows what his motivation is. I personally think there is a point where money is not your main motivator. Especially as a professional athlete. If you are as competitive as Peyton is you are motivated by more than dollar signs.
I think he hasn't signed yet because he is still trying to find the best fit. I also don't even know if the 49ers really want him. They could just be testing the waters. Peyton doesn't want to seem like the desperate one here.
Also, the Broncos and Titans are not horrible teams at all. Peyton and Kenny Brit would be an absolutely INSANE combination, and that Denver defense would be a nice compliment to Peyton at QB running the offense. I think he is being smart in taking his time to choose. I do expect him to choose within the next week or so though. Would be surprised if it lasted any longer.

That's why you play the game. Getting paid is a just a bonus.
Don't want him. Sorry, I think his career has no where to go but down after that injury. Also, our o-line will get him killed. At least Alex can run away

Alex doesn't have Manning's quick release. It's part of the reason Manning was the least sacked QB for 10 years before this past season. HOF Qb's like this don't come around often and the Niners window to win a championship is now with our elite defense.

You don't pass this up for alex smith.
That and a GREAT offensive line. Our line is terrible in pass protection.
