The Hitmen were terrible last night. Not having Rask or Sylvester was quite noticeable. Anyone know what's up with Rask? I've heard rumors of an MCL sprain. Dreidger wasn't great, however it was far from his fault last night. But starting Glover is a no-brainer tonight. Hitmen's goaltending has been inconsistent all year and is ulitmately going to be their downfall if they get eliminated.
A guy that really impressed me on Brandon last night was Alessio Bertaggia. Swiss-import is really small, but man can he fly and he competes in the tough areas. Scored on an absolute lazer of a shot, right into the top corner. Fun to watch play.

That shot by him was WOW. He's a dangerous player. Very fast, very shifty and I've seen him score similar goals with wristers while streaking down the wing.
Will be interesting to see if a team is willing to gamble on him in the draft in 2012 and pick him.
Going to Game 1 in Vancouver tonight. Picking Vancouer in 7, and promptly eliminated in 4 of 5 in Round 2.
Where are you sitting? Tickets don't seem to be going that quickly; still a good chunk of seats still available. Nothing like the game v. Kelowna; I think that game had 13K.

I ended up sitting in section B. I had ticket vouchers so I didn't get my actual tickets until I got to the arena.
Can't explain the low numbers. Only 5800 and change tonight. They drew 1300 more last year already down 2-0 and on a Tuesday night.
So, Tim Bozon, how was your first taste of the WHL playoffs?
"It was really intense from the regular season," offered Bozon, after his two-goal effort had helped the Kamloops Blazers end a 19-game playoff losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Victoria Royals at Interior Savings Centre.
The Blazers hadn't won a WHL playoff game since March 30, 2005, when they beat visiting Kootenay 3-2 in Game 3 of a first-round series the Ice would win in six games.
The teams will play here again tonight. Game time is 7 o'clock.
Regina pulled off a win against Moose Jaw which raised a few eyebrows.
The Wheat Kings-Hitmen series is starting to generate some playoff drama. Calgary has played without Rask and Sylvestor. Cheek got a hat trick last night. Both teams get a 16 hour road trip to the MTS Centre for tommorow nights game. Next three games are in the Peg.
My guess is that Victoria gets swept. Maybe win a lucky game at home, but honestly I doubt it.
Thats a reasonable assumption when looking any 2vs7 series. However I think Calgary may be in some trouble though, series is tied at 1-1 and the next 3 are in Brandon. Regardless of the last game, I think this series is now Brandon's to loose.
Game Day Post:
Regina 1 vs Moose Jaw 8 Final
Saskatoon 3 vs Medicine Hat 5 Final
