Umm that happened in Juniors, why the hell would anyone in this game care? I doubt the Avs' players go out of their way to try and fight a rookie that injured a player that could possibly have been on the team during juniors.

He is the Avalanche's top prospect and is close friends with many on the team.

It didn't happen that long ago and I am sure there are a few players on the Avs that would like to get a shot at him.

Sadly I will not be in attendance. I don't know the last time I missed the Avs in Buffalo. Thankfully Duchene isn't coming back until tomorrow. Landeskog is on fire, have to contain him. Get the two points damn it

The worst part about the Myers suspension is that it came after a clutch character win, and just as we started to have a scheduling advantage vs Washington. The teams we play in the next four are decent to good, and with our momentum I think we could've gone 3-1-0 in this stretch. Now, with the suspension and watching the Isles piss away another multi-goal lead against the Caps for the second time in two weeks, I fear they're going to be hanging their heads and making excuses for themselves. We'll see their mettle in the next three.

McNabb will fill his own dance card if it comes to that. He doesn't need anyone to fight his battles for him.

Is O'Reilly going to do it then?

why? he doesnt deserve it at this point..we're in a race for the playoffs, if they were eliminated, go for it, but he clearly deserves to get less ice time with Tropp & Boyes right now. ENough holding his hand, put up or shut up.

Buffalo updates:
- #81 McNabb was recalled from AHL/Rochester today.
- Hecht (concussion) and Sekera (pneumonia) skated in red, non-contact jerseys today.
- Ellis (MCL) is out about four weeks.

Colorado updates:
- Added Avs' rookie Mark Olver plays with a fearless style to OP.
- Matt Duchene (ankle) skated for forty minutes today at First Niagara Center, and is returning to Avs' lineup Thursday in New Jersey.
- Chuck Kobasew (back) has been skating with the team and might play tonight.

Added gameday A/V links to OP:

Sekera skating is a good sign, but we need him back at 100% ASAP.

So the Avs organization is going to retaliate against McNabb tonight even though they've done nothing in the roughly eleventy billion games between division rivals Rochester and Lake Erie? I guess they want to make it a spectacle?

This sounds eerily similar to all the B's fans calling for McQuaid, Lucic, or Thornton to jump Tropp for the Kampfer incident when they played for Michigan State and Michigan, respectively.

The Avs' organization wants to extract their justice nine months later, two levels removed, and a bunch of games between the organizations' teams in the AHL later? Awesome.

Sounds like Avs fans want revenge more than anything.

E: It looks like he fought Mauldin in an AHL game. Don't see a YT though, so hard to tell if it was something that happened in the game or he was targeted.

If the players on the Avalanche care so much about Hishon, they should teach him that you don't skate into the middle of the ice with your head down.
That is infinitely more valuable than seeking revenge on McNabb.

If the hit didn't happen during the Memorial Cup, it surely would have at some point during his career if he tried the same thing at the professional level.
It isn't a smart move for any player to make, especially ones that are by their own self-admission, "generously listed at 5'10''".

Ehrhoff will step it up. Only problem is that Myers seems to like playing the Panthers.

Kid was leaning forward and his head was out in front the rest of his body, love when Mcnabb steps up and it would've been a big clean ht if the kid didn't stick his head forward

McNabb was responding to a check from behind

He wasn't targeted, that is laughable

Either way if he was targeted or not it doesn't matter. The Avs players care about winning, not getting revenge for a player who isn't even on their current roster. And if they do care that much about revenge over an incident that long ago in junior thats just pathetic

Before/After the first time Pierre:

1) Says Kitchener Rangers: 8:00 left in the 1st period (with Roy and Landeskog, it's bound to happen)

2) Cites Brayden McNabb's hit on Hishon in the Memorial Cup: 5:00 left in 2nd period (he loves citing things that happened in juniors, and to cite one in their biggest event to boot will be too much to pass up)

3) Slobs Ryan O'Reilly: 17:00 left in 1st period

4) Talks about what great friends Matt Duchene and Cody Hodgson were growing up outside of Toronto: 5:00 left in 1st period (to demonstrate his pedophilia)

5) Slobs Gabriel Landeskog: 18:00 left in 1st period

Place your bets.
