Shame? He's been playing just fine this year as what, a 20/21 year old?

Schenn without a doubt. Hodgson is older and more developed and played very easy minutes in Vancouver padding his stats. He's done nothing in buffalo with top 6 minutes. Schenn is much more physical and a better 2 way prospect.

I see one Canucks fan doing that in this thread and he's our resident homer.

Just when I thought Cody Hodgson couldn't possibly be any more overrated...he gets dealt to Buffalo.

Cody's hasn't looked good against tougher competition in Buffalo.

I wonder if the results are going to change now that Hodgson has had consecutive multi points games.

Have you ever walked around Granville after a win? I use the word "fan" carefully these days.

EDIT: GDT threads back in the Canucks section are a little less blatant. Sometimes I swear there are Canucks "fans" trollin' the main boards without actually watching games.
Fair enough but you have to agree 99% is a bit harsh? I hope the kid has a stellar career, no hard feelings here!

I've been more impressed with Hodgson. Really glad the Canucks traded him.

or maybe he was a bit jet legged from something like 12 straight road games and 5 cross-country trips. 6 pts in 4 games.

Empty netter tonight and has been terrible in his own zone.

BS. He has been excellent in both zones the last 4 or 5 games, even being rewarded with PK time. Getting a ton of ice time.

That's false. And I never stated about the O zone. Just his defensive zone where he has still been a problem. Essentially why he's bounced all around the lineup.

(and I voted Hodgson)

He stopped getting bounced around once Foligno got called up and Ruff settled on the lines. He's playing with Vanek for gods sake.

Ruff is also giving him PK time. If you know about Lindy Ruff, you know that his leash for poor defensive-zone play (especially for forwards) is about three inches long.

Cody has been very good in his own zone since he settled in with Tropp and Vanek.

Some might say, "Schenn because of his overall game." But when in doubt I'll take the guy with the higher offensive upside. Hodgson.

It's close, both are going to be good top 6 centers for a long time. Schenn has the edge in speed, defensive play and physicality, but I prefer Hodgson's offensive game, he's just so smart with the puck, so well rounded, skilled and patient offensively. I think Hodgson is going to mature into a legit #1 center, while I think Schenn will be more of a good #2. Both very good young players, but if forced to choose, give me CoHo.

What does trade request's have to do with ability?
