PRESS RELEASE
MONTREAL –The Montreal Canadiens announced Wednesday that defenseman Frédéric St-Denis has been recalled from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.
The 26-year old defenseman recorded 28 points (3 goals and 25 assists) in 52 games with the Bulldogs thus far this season. St-Denis scored two of his goals on the powerplay and added 101 shots on goal.
Assigned to the Bulldogs on December 9, the 5’11’’ and 182 lbs defenseman played eight games with the Canadiens in 2011-12, including his first NHL game on November 16 against the Carolina Hurricanes. St-Denis scored his first career NHL goal on December 8 against the Vancouver Canucks. He recorded four shots on goal, three blocked shots and displayed a +1 plus/minus differential, while playing an average of 11 minutes and 48 seconds per game.
A native of Greenfield Park, Quebec, St-Denis signed with the Canadiens as a free agent on July 1, 2010.
To replace Gomez?

Kaberle's girlfriend is expecting to give birth today. Habs players must have very potent sperm
Also, love the user name OP. I went to highschool with the guys from Protest the Hero, and am a big fan of their music.

Haven't had the chance to meet them yet, but in interviews they seem like real cool guys.
I hope St-Denis can play as well as he played in the pre season, which was better than Campoli.

Again? Man, if only this team was half as good at hockey as they are at knocking women up.

Considering their play this season it's good to know that they were scoring somewhere.

If the standings were determined by the amount of children given birth to we'd have the President's trophy locked up
St Denis looked good in his 8 games this season, glad to see him called up

So is someone else hurt/out besides Kaberle? Markov, Subban, Georges, Emelin, Weber, Diaz and Campoli add St. Denis that gives them 8.

Diaz is hurt, I believe. Also I think Cunny wants to stick with 7 d, gives him more flexibility to protect Markov.

Which is scary when you think of it. Good for him to get the call up, more experience for him to make a push next year in camp for a more permanent position.

Great, I guess we'll see how the new guy Hendrix is. Got a feeling the score will get run up in St. Johns tonight.

Hamilton took it to the ice caps last night, they played a really good game so it's hard to see them repeating that again against one of the top teams in the AHL and that's before losing their best D. I'd put Mayer in net and have a few drinks

Well at least St-Denis work his butt off. He doesn't float around and avoid every possible physical contact like the other 2 softies do , and that even if he is smaller than both.
Kabs and Campor may more points in the NHL but as a depth defensemen i'd take St-Denis on heart and hard work over these creampuffs every day of the week and twice on sunday.

Wouldn't mind having him as our 7th defenseman next year, would be cheap and didn't look out of place in his brief call up.
