So 8 more days? Well it's not 2 more weeks at least.

Why do I have a feeling that when this vote takes place, all it will take is 5-6 votes for to pass the lockout motion... those would be from NYR, PHI, MTL, TOR, BOS etc. MINORITY RULES!

Just heard on a local radio station that Doan re-signed. Can't find anything anywhere. BS?

Don't think it happened... my phone didn't blow up yet... considering the twitter noise Landeskog received yesterday, Doan's signing would be a thunderclap in comparison.

Not yet at least...

It was 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit. Pretty credible. We'll see I guess. Not getting my hopes up.

Well since this is a random topic thread:

Vancouver writer wants Coyotes franchise "to die"

More anti-Phoenix Coyotes venom coming from north of the border. This time, it's originating from British Columbia, where Harrison Mooney blogs for The Vancouver Sun.

I feel sorry for the right minded folks up in Canada with all of this crap. I don't hate Canada, but I can never look at that country the same again.

I've read Mooney's Puck Daddy posts from time to time and I never could tell whether he's any good or not. Well, apparently he's the kind of writer who will quote A Midsummer Night's Dream in a hockey blog.

Well, that's all right. Some of my best friends were in drama club.

(...Not really. I just said that so no one would think I'm a homophobe.)

Those gluttons can't get enough, they will always want more and they don't care when it's at the expense of others. Imagine trying to play poker with someone who has the cash to essentially force you to fold all the time. That's life for about %75 of the league right now!

Well, FWIW...my friend ran into Doan at a tournament this weekend. The friend's kid asked Doan if he was going to sign w/Phoenix and Doan said 'probably.'

I don't think Doan would say that to a kid unless he really meant it; he is just always such a great guy and so friendly with the kids. If he weren't staying, there are plenty of ways to avoid the question without coming out with a yes/no answer.

I'm not going to lie, I have a man crush on Doan. People who know me in real life would be amazed to hear that as it typically goes against every fiber of my being but Doaner is just that awesome!

Just got done watching an annoying speech on YouTube. I'm reminded of the fact that lots of people in the world need a good ****ing punch in the mouth for being so stupid.

Was it political? If so, that's why I don't watch any of them.

Bissonnette sounds off on NHL labor problems

Quote:
Bissonnette took to Twitter to discuss the NHL's ongoing labor problems, which could lead to the league's second lockout in less than 10 years. And, while what the player said is not exactly unreasonable or even untrue, it is likely to offend some folks.

I'm offended by the fact that he don't put in as much effort to becoming a better player than he does into the tweets he makes. This is one of the worst tweets he makes seeing that he fails to mation that it is the fans who spend money that pays all of their saleries.

I think him and Joyce had a go around on twitter last night also, or it could have only been her mocking him. Too lazy to find it.

How to explain NHL lockout to your non-hockey friends: Puck Daddy’s Guide

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-pu...2932--nhl.html

My fav:

Quote:
Q. I watch ESPN every night and haven't seen anything about this stuff. Are you sure it's actually happening?

A. Unfortunately, yes, but the reason you haven't seen it is because Skip Bayless hasn't found a way to link percentage of League revenue to either Tim Tebow's godliness or LeBron's attitude. Give it time.
