Where is LBFF? I need a song reference here.

Anyways, really nice article. It's great to hear the perspective of veteran players on an up and coming defensman, and Mitchell and Scuds are straight shooters. They both sound pretty impressed with the guy.

Wham Bam thank you Gann!

Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the best I can.
And when it's time for leavin',
I hope you'll understand
That I was born a ramblin' Gann

I think I'm on to something....sung to Copacabana by Barry Manilow...

His name was Slava, he played on defense
He was escorted to the slot, he took JMFJ's spot
And when he was passed it, he fired one-timers
But Slava went a bit too far, his shot rang off the crossbar
Oh the Kings won more than a few, and the fans all said "Jack Who?"
There were goals and defense too
And he may be better than Drew...

At the Staples, the Staples Center
The hottest spot north of Figueroa (here)
At the Staples, the Staples Center
Russian Defensemen were always the fashion
At the Staples....Voynov was born

In case anyone's wondering why Voynov's comments aren't included in the story, he disappeared into the back area of the Kings' dressing room at their practice facility before I could get to him...just the way things worked out...
