Theres a recent article on allhockey.ru about U20 team.Bragin talks about Buchnevich in there. These 95 guys are so good Bragin might have to go with a younger team for next U20.
Grigori Dikushin
Ivan barbashev
Pavel Buchnevich
Valeri Nichushkin
Sergei Tolchinsky
Nikita Zadorov
What will it be, future Stars or 19 yrs old KHL full timers for U20 ...??
Good luck finding those U20's full KHL-ers... Not many around these days.
You are right. They might even be around playing for weaker teams but not national team quality. Having most of the team full KHLers which play top minutes in their teams would make a huge difference especially for the defence. There will be 2-3 spots for forwards and 1-2 for defencemen to decide between quality or experience.
Some of the guys i expect to do full time in KHL next season but most of them already locks for the team: Kosov, Prokhorkin, Slepyshev, Shalunov, Kucherov, Nesterov, Yarullin, Dyakov
not bad including the 5 NA guys- at least- being locks

You are an optimist. CSKA just found a pot of gold, chances for youngsters breaking through will be even smaller. Would be cool if Shalunov got Kuznetsov's place if he left to NHL or SKA/Ufa but it's unlikely as they are title chasers, same thing for Yarullin, he could be loaned to Yugra but again it's a stretch. Who knows, I hope I'm wrong.

Yes, Bragin was impressed by Buchnevich's play and compared him to Malkin. According to that article Buchnevich had even 2+1 and was named game's best player The guy had 15+29 in 45 games in MHL and 4+3 in 10 play-off games this year, better stats than Grigs had last season an he doesnt make U18 team. Its nonesense. I doubt there is better center than Pavel on that team.
