Yah I think this will hurt him more than anything come contract time. Now he has to base it on what he did this season and can't try to say how he improved under Carlyle(if that happened).

Anyone else getting the feeling we may have seen the last of Kulie in a Leafs uni?

Im getting scared Kadri might get called up at some point and be this years final game Boyd Devereaux.

May the (unintentional) tank continue! More of a loss than the stats geeks will recognize. One of the few wingers on the team with the will to go into the corners and the head to understand basic defensive zone play.

Good news is that this is another excuse for missing the playoffs. Helps in that way. Optincs are always important when post mortem time comes around. Burke will point to Lupul and Kulemin.

Leafs can't call up players in this situation I thought...They have enough players to play on the roster.

Yay. Tankity tankity tank.

In all seriousness, we probably wouldn't have noticed him on the ice anyway if he was playing.

Ya, its a good thing for Kadri. I wont argue that. But we're sooooooooooo close to a high pick for a C with serious potential that I would be happier with Kadri playing well for the Marlies for this season.

Can we recall a forward from Marlies or did we already burn all our call ups?

Pretty weird to see Leaf Nation cheering and happy that a player is injured and loving the thought of losing every night. Amazing turn of events.

It won't be Kadri called up for the last game if they needed him it will be Zigomanis as a way of thanking him for being a good foot soldier - who will then get a hat trick and knock the Leafs down to 6th place overall.

The big question, how will we replace the goal production?

unless we land a top 3 pick, then I wouldn't gamble on the pick being a top line player.

And I forgot about Carter Ashton. So we have 13 unless one is injured I missed.

Well, at least Kulemin can have 3 extra weeks to gather his thoughts, put this season and Korolev's death behind him, maybe even get some therapy if there was something mentally wrong with him this season, and come back stronger next year with a cheap new contract.

This will diminish us greatly defensively though. Our best 2-way forward and more of a Carlyle player than Kadri will ever be, although we should call him up to see what he can do to close the season.

Let's get it clear everyone, no one can be called up, Kulemin worked hard and did everything he could do for us. He had no confidence and just couldn't finish. I'm not happy he's injured, but it should help our chances at a Top 5 pick.

I'm expecting 20 out of Kulemin next year, I know he'll work hard this upcoming off-season.

Hoping Kulemin gets well soon. His two-way presence is definitely going to be missed the rest of this season.

Finally, a sensible Leafs fan. It was starting to look like Leafs Nation was rejoicing at the fact one of our players broke his finger.
