Sit Konopka. Bring up Hoffman or Petersson, can't hurt.

I'm willing to give Petersson a shot at this point. Butler is just not the answer, here. Guy only seems to play well after being benched for extended periods of time.

Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Foligno-Turris-Alfredsson
Klink-JOB-Neil
Daug-Smith-Condra

There's honestly not many combinations left to try. Spezza needs to be on or the team is done. Turris needs to work on his conditioning (long off-season may have hurt him) as he appears great in flashes then disappears. As for Butler, he's been slightly better lately, but the kid has seemingly lost the ability to take a pass, shoot, or carry the puck.

Agree. Those lines are worth trying again. Not much else can be done with the players available. Silfverberg can't get here soon enough.

Spezza & Kalrsson without a shot on net & getting some on-called for penalties is not Butler's fault. The big guns had a bad game & you can't blame the role players because of it. Does Bulter need to score absolutely, but he's not & I'm sure it will be addressed at some point, like after the season.

He was OK, very good first then not really noticeable.

I can see him going back down after next game if he doesn't play well.

Not going to do much. Just hope the puck starts going in for turris, guy has had some bad luck lately. But if he can get it going, this team will not have to worry about depth scoring.

garbage + shake-up = still garbage

The role players on this team are just not cutting it other than Neil and O'Brien who is working hard. If you are not scoring at least finish your damn checks. It is embarrassing that the kid down from the A outshines the Falignos, Condras, Greening..and the rest of the garbage.

Klinkhammer looked pretty decent for his first time out in a Sens jersey. He adds more depth to our both 6. The team is really not a Cup contender and should be working on rebuilding. Next year they will bring in more talent up front. I wouldn't worry about winning or losing this year. Especially with such a streaky team like the Sens.

He looked good. But he is more of a 3rd line player... adds size and depth for sure.

Go back to what worked at the start of the year + an actual 2nd line:

Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Klinkhammer-Turris-Alfredsson
Foligno-Smith-Condra
Daugavins-O'Brien-Neil

Pettersson should be playing instead of Butler, I can't understand why Butler is still on the team, the guy has done absolutely nothing!!!

He's being outscored by our amazing puck moving D named Phillips and Cowen despite spending time on our first line.

Ok I can understand the Foligno frustrations, but to the people wanting to get rid of him like he's a bag of pucks I don't know what to say.

He's still a relatively young player at 24, and has good skills. Sure, he's very inconsistent, but when you have a player that after 67 games has already posted a career high (and improves that performance every year), why give up on him? It's not like he's having the worst year of his career either. For a good 20 game period he was bringing lots of sandpaper to the lineup as well which was nice to see. And in all honesty, what return would he bring? A 2nd rounder and a b level prospect. Maybe (a big maybe) a first rounder? That doesn't help the current rebuild - it puts it off longer.

IMO, Foligno played his best hockey as a centre, and hasn't been the same since he was taken away from the position. I'd love to see him centre the third line with Klink and Neil on his wings.

That should read Turris, not Foligno. Foligno has been playing on the 4th line, not with Alfredsson. For sure he needs to play better but Turris has just been awful. For the lines, I want to see,

-Spezza and Michalek stay together. Yes they are inconsistent, but when they are on, they work. We live and die by them.
-Foligno at centre. His decline started when Turris arrived imo, and when he played centre he was really good with Alfie.
-Bye Bye Butler.
-Please come here now Silf!
-Give Hoffman and Petersson a try.

Michalek - Spezza - Petersson
Hoffman - Foligno - Alfredsson
Smith - Turris - Condra
Klinkhammer - O'Brien - Neil
Daugavins, Konopka, Butler

Worst of the top 12 is taken out for Silfverberg. *coughCondracough*
