He's one of our most important players because he generates offense from the back line....and lately he probably has been our best D man.

Not surprising. Pens have their full team and we don't..this game doesn't mean much except them being 4 points behind us for 1st seed if they win instead of 6
I would count them being 2 points behind if they win, since they have one less game and will probably win that game.

Lol Cooke wouldn't go any where near Rupp. Maybe he'd go with Zuc.

For anyone who says there is not a problem with the defense, you are wrong. Leaving a player wide open is a huge error. It happened twice. It can be fixed. It is not a case of their offense being better (though they most definitely, obviously are).
Leaving players wide open is something that can be fixed.

Getting embarrassed on our own ice. We know who the best team in the conference is.

I don't understand what all the commotion is about. We are without our two most important players, not to mention down two of our top 4-5 defensemen. They have their whole team playing. What is there to be upset about?
Besides, even when we're fully healthy, they're still probably the better team. When healthy, they are the best team in the NHL. This isn't the disaster some of you are making it out to be.

His contribution to our offense can't be overstated. He's our only defenseman who doesn't handle the puck like a grenade.

I repeat: game not winnable. Huge amount of hype about Crosby, no Henrik, no Callahan, no Del Zotto. Some games just cannot be won.

I've maintained MDZ is more important to this team than McD and if Girardi can't play an entire season like his first half, MDZ is better than him too.
MDZ is easily one of our most important players.

Flame me all you want but Staal is our 4th best defenseman. I don't care.

True, but i dont think Lundqvist would do much difference so far. Even he can't save those goals.

So tired of Susan Boyle as well. I feel like he's out there 50 minutes a game, shooting wide.
