The attempt by Bertuzzi and his attorney to manipulate the litigation with a secret agreement with Crawford and the team is a courthouse equivalent of the Bertuzzi cheap shot that leveled Moore. And it still isn't over.
Interesting. I wasn't too in to the NHL at that age.. Was more of a player. I remember seeing the hit and hearing about the fallout after. Now at a much older age I'm grasping the severity.
At this point I just hate both of them. Sick of hearing about it.
That's not Moore's fault. The court system is a joke, as are Todd Bertuzzi and his snake of a lawyer. These proceedings should have taken place YEARS ago.
The fact that Bert has pulled down something like $22 million since ruining Steve Moore's life disgusts me to no end. I hope Moore takes him for every penny that dirtbag is worth.
As if the incident itself wasn't enough to know what a POS Bertuzzi is, this is further evidence:
Quote:
On February 16, 2006, Moore filed a civil suit in the province of Ontario against Bertuzzi, the Canucks, and the parent company of the Canucks, Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment seeking $15 million in pecuniary damages for loss of income, $1 million for aggravated damages, and $2 million for punitive damages. Moore's parents, who were watching their son on television when the attack happened, are also suing, seeking $1.5 million for "for negligent infliction of nervous shock and mental distress."(all figures in Canadian dollars). Moore's lawyer filed the suit one day before its two-year limitation expired, denying there was any connection between the timing and the 2006 Winter Olympics[8] of which Bertuzzi participated in.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman attempted to get Bertuzzi and Moore to agree on an out-of-court settlement in the CAD$19.5 million lawsuit filed by Moore.[9] Bertuzzi offered $350,000 to settle the case, an amount which was called "an insult" by Moore's lawyer.[10]
The guy should have been black balled like Marty McSorely was, but it's water under the bridge at this point. I stand by my claim that no team will ever win a Stanley Cup with him on their roster. Karma, mother ****er.
Honestly players like Bertuzzi and Cooke should not be in the NHL. The fact that Bertuzzi has pocketed tons of money and has had a chance to win a championship is just painful to realize.

That right there just further convinces me that Bertuzzi is not sorry for what he did. He might as well sent a photo of him flipping Moore the finger.
