Missed the game, just watched the highlights on NHL.com. Did the Lightning win the Stanley Cup on that goal with 30 seconds left? It sure sounded like it, according to their announcer.

Aside from any team in the league above and below us, who also happens to not be located in Long Island, Columbus, or Tampa Bay? No one.

Didnt watch the game today (Sid + Gonzaga game). How did Ashton look? From what I have seen hes starting to make some effective plays, did he continue to look more "in place" tonight?

How did the D play?

Not quite Brazil football-esque but over the top under the circumstances.

Keeping in perspective that we played Tampa, I thought Ashton looked great tonight. Really hustles, never gives up on a play. As for the defence, there were a couple plays where Reimer bailed them out, but for the most part the defensive coverage was tight. If this is a foreshadowing of how Carlyle's defensive system is going to look, then I'm on board.

...Just love watching Jake Gardiner skate. My good god, that kid is a beaut... what a polished, composed athlete. Its tough to believe he's a rookie...even with the odd bobble. Heres your cornerstone D man, gents. He's going to be an all star.

Fun fact:

James Mirtle ‏ @mirtle

Leafs goaltenders' save percentage is at a combined .920 in the seven games under Carlyle. It was only .903 on the season prior to tonight.

anyone questioning the use of the word maroon, clearly didn't grow up watching Bugs Bunny!
