He doesn't look bad. He just can't get any points. He needs someone with him to set him up, right now the Flyers are treating him as the set-up guy. His best success in a Flyers uni came with two distributors on his line, Prospal and Leino. Read and Simmonds aren't what he needs.
edit: remember those interviews last season when he talked about finally finding chemistry with someone (Leino) while he was here, and Ville screwed that pooch...
I'm worried. Also, he has been much worse since the concussion. That's always troubling to me.
He's still working hard, which is nice. But none of his work pays off. That sucks. It's bad. Before the concussion it looked like he just didn't have chemistry with linemates. After, the problem looks deeper than that.

Yeah. Briere spends a lot of time setting guys up, and a lot of his goals come from burying rebounds at the posts. Both of those things require at least one other person to be on the same page as him.
He used to have a nasty shot, but the accuracy hasn't been there all year.

Yep, that is why I'd like to trade him while he has value... that is if he agrees to waive his NTC.
As good as his effort's been recently, he was awful in the Isles game yesterday. Had at least 3-4 defensive gaffes that could have led to goals.
He's such a liability defensively that I expect the line he's playing against to get solid opportunities every shift. Seemed like his line spent a good amount of time in our zone yesterday. Doesn't help that whenever he gets the puck on the wing, he tries to reverse and go low in our zone because he's too afraid of getting hit.
His playoff performance against Boston last season is pretty much in line with his play this season. He played well vs Buffalo but had extra incentive because it was his old team. And now that this thing has surfaced with him and the porn star, we'll see how he deals with the fall out. The Philly media is going to go wild with it.

But if his current play continues into the playoffs it's definitely time to get worried.
