Note: As always tune into today's Illegal Curve Hockey Show starting at noon cst. Lots of guests and Jets talk. Also don't forget that you can meet Blake Wheeler & Bryan Little today at the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter.
Winnipeg Free Press: Even Noel visibly pumped as Jets keep the magic rolling. It was a special evening at the MTS Centre last night but the Jets are going to have to bottle that magic and ration it well for the remainder of the season. The worst thing they can do is have a let down game against the Hurricanes on Sunday.
Winnipeg Free Press: Tight time ignite Nik. While he might be playing a 4th line role, coach Noel seems to be getting the best out of the enigmatic Antropov. In a press conference last week coach Noel discussed limited ice time and mentioned how you can squeeze a lot more out of someone's best efforts in 10-12 minutes of ice time rather than giving them 16-18 minutes and not getting same effort.
Winnipeg Free Press: It's a risky business. An inside look at the business of scalping Jets tickets.
Winnipeg Sun: Snapshots. Back-and-forth thriller. Shorts weather at the rink. True North chant deafening. Is Mark Stuart going to receive a call from NHL disciplinarian? Sloppy passes. Antropov playing best hockey on 4th line? Looked bad for Fehr (injury wise). Top line came to play. MTS Centre is one savvy crowd.
Winnipeg Sun: Byfuglien comes up big. From his knocking Alex Ovechkin around to his absolute dominance with the puck, this was a complete performance from the Jets big man. Could only imagine where the Jets might be if Buff hadn't gotten injured for 15+ games this season. His sword thurst move when he scored the Jets 3rd goal was classic.
Winnipeg Sun: News and Notes. Bogosian itching to return. Buff takes it easy with practice. Jets sign some young blood. Old friends. Saskatoon in the NHL? Don't mess with a man's glove!
Winnipeg Sun: Cops trace stolen Jets tickets to break-ins, suspects. A cautionary tale for those looking to buy Jets tickets. While the vast majority of sellers are likely fine, it always pays to be smart about making a purchase.
Washington Capitals: Karl Alzner, Alexander Ovechkin (gold audio), Brooks Laich (hate on for Jets), Troy Brouwer (kudos to fans) and coach Hunter.
Illegal Curve: Jets on a Deadline. Game recaps, post-game audio, video highlights and the NHL.com 3 Stars.
