I am one of the few Nemo defenders on this board, and games like these are exactly why. He makes critical saves when he really has to and wins games. Is he consistent? No, but he's not a crappy goalie, he just goes through bad stretches.

Detroit is cursed, like the game where TMac watched the Blues play before St Louis shut the Sharks out.

Get bent, Babcock.

So excited that we picked up the 2 points tonight. Not gonna run with the "this is the new winning streak!!!" because beating Detroit is going to be really hard. Still, I'm optimistic about what our performance tonight might signal for the remainder of the regular season..

I don't defend him but I also don't blame him all the time. I'm indifferent.

Doesn't matter. Sharks handle their business against the stars and finish strong, they'll be 3rd. If not, I'm not sure the Sharks would get higher then 7th considering the Hawks' remaining games.

Hawks, call me crazy but I think we can still take the division and land the 3rd seed.

A buddy and I were talking about this a while back - why don't the do a vandermeer with Boyle and give him some minutes as a forward to maybe get that side of his game going more - he's a great skater and is creative...things that the front end on this team needs.

Sharks need the 3 seed. Always cheer against division opponents.

Hawks are only one point ahead of the Stars and if the Sharks win their games in hand, they're only two points behind the Hawks. That's manageable if someone else goes on a tear and takes the division. Personally, I want to see the Hawks fall to 7th or 8th in any way, shape, or form. Them against St. Louis or Vancouver is ideal in terms of trying to avoid top seeds later on if they nab the division.

Hawks, for sure. Lesser of two evils. We need the Stars to start losing some more.

Ya Havlat was great. Man I hope we can put together some solid hockey to close out the season. I really want to see what Havlat and Burns do in the playoffs, I know those guys are jacked for it.

Because I'm absent-minded.

of course we can. A game in hand on the Stars and two games with them, only 4 points back now. What hurts is all these shootout wins hurt our first tiebreaker.

There's only three opinions of Sharks fans about Nemo...

1) Those who know he's playing horrible and can do much better.
2) Those who think his entire career is a fluke.
3) Those who think he's just dandy.

It's not crazy. Even without help, Sharks have a game in hand, 3 points back, and 2 left vs. Stars. Stars are catchable.

It's pretty clear that unless there is a big shakeup next week, the Sharks will finally play some HUGE regular season games in April.

Personally can't wait for the next game... even if it's because of the GDT.

Havlat was great this game. Marleau and him make things happen. Wish Patty would connect though
