Ruff sucks at tanking.
It would be nice to see Hodgson end the season on a high note, and with Leino playing well, and Vanek being Vanek, he might get some better looks.

This, but at this point, why even play Boyes? They should call up Kassi...umm I mean Adam!

From what I hear out of my Rochester friends, Adam has been playing like crap.

Vitamix: it not only juices, frappes and purees... it can make your lineup card!

On defense, Andrej Sekera is playing on the extra pair with Tyler Myers but Ruff was hopeful on Wednesday Sekera would play this weekend. McNabb-Weber, Regehr-Leopold and Ehrhoff-Sulzer stay together.

I fully expect Leino-Hodgson-Vanek to tank, hard. That line will be hemmed in their own end for two full shifts before Ruff pulls the plug.

Agreed.
Boyes would be so much more effective on the third line with Gerbe and Roy/Leino/Hodgson...

Not surprising. There's no footspeed on that line. I'm assuming Tropp is just a placeholder for Gerbe, but that still doesn't make a ton of sense because you can just roll:
Leino-Roy-Pominville
Foligno-Ennis-Stafford
Gerbe/Tropp-Hodgson-Vanek
Hey, now you don't have that leadfooted line that keeps getting hemmed in its own zone.

as some have mentioned earlier, this line has got no speed. even with leino playing at his very best, he still is not very fast. hodgson's weak skating has been metioned since day one of the trade and vanek is far form his best and even at his best he's not that kind of player to lead a rush...
but i do hope we're wrong and that line works out if so then it's due to some great passing and puckhandling throughout the line

Agreed!! Can't stand watching Boyes any longer, would much rather give someone else the opportunity to attempt a goal in the shootout.

I'm curious to see if Weber is out if Sekera comes back. My beat is it would McNabb who sits

maybe vanek can step it up on that line again getting more puck possession.
i don't know if splitting pominville and vanek is a good idea but it aloso gives one of them a lesser d-pair to play against.
all in all the best thing about those line is no roy-vanek line.

I hate when people use numbers, I'm not familiar with the young guys enough yet to know their numbers offhand lol.
