Forget Boston, we HAVE to win tonight for 2 huge reasons:

1)Tops in division again.

2)We would be one point back of NJD of 6th place

Winning tonight will close our cap between us and Boston and even if Boston wins the division we can face Florida or we can win the division and Boston passes NJD.

Of course, who else would be starting? Maybe would have made sense to call up Lehner and give him the start but that didn't happen. Definitely can't see Auld getting in there, so yeah it's back to Bishop for his sixth straight game

Exactly! Boston did their part, played a solid road game and got the two points they needed with a clutch shoot out performance. Now in a classic game of chess, it's our move and we need to counter with another big win tonight.

Wanna see the Sens take back top spot in the division and prove that wasn't a one-time thing, and New Jersey is starting to open the door a bit for us to pass them. That six place slot is huge and absolutely something the team should be gunning for. Than we got NJ next game at home, just massive!

Oh and let's not forget the Sens need to be getting some revenge for the embarrassment that was that 5-0 loss on home ice on HNIC back in February.

Better be ready to go boys! Get er done!

We can still tie Boston in ROW wins

don't we need to pass jersey while staying behind boston? If we pass boston we jump to #2 and get stuck against boston, if we don't pass boston we stay stuck behind NJ and get stuck against boston

You mean tonight? If we beat the Leafs, we take back top spot in the division just like when the day started.

What's this ROW wins thing? Even if we were tied, they would go ahead based on the game in hand.

Your comment seems a little out of the blue...

At the end of the year the first tie breaker is regulation+overtime wins (shootout wins not counted). So even if the Boston game wasn't the best result, it wasn't the worst. And if we took the lead in ROW wins that would be huge.

Oh yes that's true, good point and thanks for the clarification. I thought the first tie breaker was just wins, but it makes perfect sense that it would include OT wins and not SO wins. Big break for the Sens there as Boston has picked up quite a few SO wins this season.

Let's pass them again for the division, tie them in ROW and go one back of NJ with our next game against them.

All while drinking lots of beer! Now THAT would be a perfect night!

Even with RDS, CBC gets huge numbers for Habs games.

Leafs will CRUSH the Senators tonight - Karlsson is playing way above his head can't keep it up - he is not a defenseman - just a forward playing at the blueline - Gardiner is definitely a better prospect - Kessel is going to show up - Leafs will embarass Ottawa again - watch your back Ottawa here we come - at least the spoilers if not playoff bound

Wow... just wow..

Cry me a river bro, here in Atlantic Canada we get Laffs games shoved down our throats EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY no matter how much they or how good the other match-ups are.

They should just have 2 games a week, no regional games. But instead of the laughs all the time, make every team get a game every second week

Making comments like that if the Leafs don't crush Ottawa that will make them like even more silly.

Something about playing the Leafs in this weather...the stakes aren't as high, but, God, I hope we beat these guys tonight.

4-3 Sens. Just because I feel like I need a good sweat.

Nice to see the Sens concede 2.86 a game, and the Leafs score 2.84 a game...

Also nice to see we score 2.99 and they concede 3.01...

So in theory, shootout win to us.. Although personally I'd love it if we annihilated them.

GO SENS GO!
