That was a pretty sweet move by Desharnais.

Crappy game. At least we got Montreal a point and their fans went home in tears.

Feels good to get a win, no matter where we are in the standings.

Crazy game. Looked like Nielsen took an elbow to the chin in the third but no call. The refs are killing me regularly now.

I am glad to see the Habs fans crying, but in the end most of them want a good pick too now.

Martin dropped the hammer on one guy in the second, just a big hit that resulted in a turnover. You have to love what he brings.

This may have been the best game Streit played all year. He was much like what I remembered his first year, going through traffic in the neutral zone regularly. Note that he made some big gaffs along with the good stuff, like the giveaway that led to a goal, the giveaway that almost resulted in a goal in the third, the last penalty, etc. I expect that with him, but am ok as long as he is generating offense regularly. Too many times this year he just played poorly, and didn't generate much offense.

Oh well, just counting days till the lottery now.

Some recent interesting quotes from Cappy about Martin's style of play and how that is what the team is seeking out in players more. He can not be referring to the present group who will never be converted to a "hard" style of play. Ullstrom has some of that, but the rest are just not that kind of player. The model is the present day Penguins minus last years goon squad. Maybe the Halmo signinging was the first step in the realization by Snow that this is a man's game, it is a collision game, and the weak lose out.

Thought the last week he has really picked it up. Looks good for next year.

Czikas and Ullstrom look good and will benefit from the tigers playoff run.
