ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. ZZZZZZZZZZZ. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ. It's evident now that Trotz was behind putting Willy in the trade proposal for Nash. Instead of learning lessons, could all these scratches start to just put a "could care less" mindset in #33???
Wilson deserves to be scratched IMO. I knew when he said "I'm just gonna continue playing my game" that it was going to be a rough ride for him down the stretch. Wilson, when you get scratched, that means you are doing something wrong. He needs to simplify his game rather than trying to be a hero.
Lots of 2nd effort out there by the NOT-Nashville team, about zero by the Nashville team.
Of course some posters will say the Kings are 'desperate' so it's a foregone conclusion that they would win this game. Gee, I hope we don't run into any 'desperate' teams in the playoffs. We'd be guaranteed to lose - them being 'desperate' and all that.
Year in and year out we do this floundering crap down the stretch (whether ekeing into 8th or 'guaranteed' a spot like this year) - the only constant is Trotz; I think this is done deliberately - no idea why he fears winning the division.
Not the best opening period. The Preds look like they are struggling to support each other heading up ice and in the offensive zone. They get spaced out and forced into situations that require either a very special individual effort or a spectacular pass and neither happens. There are some chances for quick, short passes but they are looked off in favour of skating the puck up ice, usually into a situation where there isn't much support for the puck carrier. Off the puck, the guys seem a little passive tonight.
To carry on the Irish theme, I think comparisons can be drawn between the game so far and the video below. The game is like the funeral, the Preds are like Dougal and the other people reacting to the situation are like Preds fans.
