So, let me ask you this: Who should play against Nashville if we were to meet them in the playoffs?
Quick, but wearing him down just to get to the playoffs will do absolutely no good once they get there no matter who they face. Bernier is a very capable goaltender, so there is no reason not to start him on the second night of a back to back.
You scenario is almost impossible, anyway. Nashville will finish fourth or fifth, so the Kings would have to jump all the way up to fourth or fifth, and that is not going to happen.

Quick. This has nothing to do with Quick or Bernier's record against Nashville and everything to do with Quick playing too many games and this being the second of a back to back.

I'm not saying to let JQ finish out the season. I'm just saying against nashville, I think JQ would have been the right choice. JQ could rest the next game if need be. JQ having won only one game in his career against nashville will be questioned should we face nashville.
We don't need a goalie controversy. And starting JB tonight just may create controversy.

It will create absolutely no controversy. Bernier is the back up goalie. Back up goalies start games, especially one of the two in a back to back situation. That's standard in the NHL.
And Quick can't just "rest" next game (you're not going to start him against San Jose?). You're not taking into account how taxing playing two consecutive days is for a goalie. This isn't NHL 12 and goalies don't automatically renew to full endurance after one day, especially after playing 60+ games already in an NHL season.

There have been many goalies who have won both end of a back-to-back games so, I think you're worrying just a tad too much. Besides, it was a just a 30 minutes drive.
As for the controversy, there is ABSOLUTELY no doubt that JQ will start against any team in the nhl during the playoffs. But if JB were to win tonight, there sure will be a seed of doubt not only with the fans and media but even with DS, kings and most importantly JQ.

What are you talking about?
JB has played only a handful of games all season long. Playing one more is not going to change anything.

How many back to back games are there in the playoffs?
You are completely wrong about a goalie controversy in LA. Quick will start all of the playoff games unless he's injured.
Quick starts the division game and Bernier starts the second of a back to back. That is why you have a good backup. If Bernier has a shutout tonight, you still start quick against SJ.

What are you babbling about? Quit trying to make something out of nothing. Quick needs a rest, he played last night, and they play the Sharks next. Bernier needed to start this game
