Old ones. The numbers are way too small on the new ones.

Another vote for the old banners.

Sidenote, I find it odd that the 6ers have 7 retired numbers to the Flyers now 5.

Great players for sure, but do Billy C, Bobby Jones, Mo, and Sir Charles really deserve to be up there with Wilt and Julius?

They're deliberately trying to out-do the Sixers.

Way too cheesy, way to bad-looking.

Disagree with everyone. Love both of them but the picture is a nice addition.

Going to have to see them in person, but think I like the new ones. It kind of depends how clear the numbers and picture are from the seats though.

I'm going to wrestling tomorrow, so I'll try to get a good look at the new banners. I've only seen the Mark Howe one when it was being raised, and it looks sort of awkward.

It's for retiring numbers, but doesn't emphasize the number.

It looks like on Barber and Clarke you can't even see the Flyers logo.

The new ones are better. It's nice putting a face to the number.

I agree. I was taken back on how bad they looked when I saw Mark's go up. I was like "OK where is the real banner"?

I like the new ones. I wasn't happy with Howe's when it went up because the old styles were still up there. I dig the pictures of all of them up there. I meant to post about this same topic after Howe's retirement ceremony.

I think one problem is the lack of consistency with the amount of the player in the photo. They should all be either head to toe or shoulder to head, not all different.

Old!!!

When I first saw Mark Howe's during the ceremony I couldn't believe how bad it looked and I hoped that one was just for the ceremony and they would replace it afterwards.

Well, they could have done that.... or, replace the old ones with the "updated" design.

The new ones look like they got someone who's used photoshop once to terribly lasso the silhouettes of the players and place them terribly on an orange rectangle. They're not very well designed at all. They have potential, but it wasn't reached.

The old ones were better.

Well Billy, Mo, and Charles (one of the 30 best players ever) are all in the NBA Hall of Fame and Bobby Jones was one of the greatest defenders in NBA history plus went multiple all-star games as a 6th man which is impressive in itself and adored by fans. So yes I do believe all those players deserve to be in the rafters.

That's what I see too.
