Jagr-Giroux-Hartnell
Simmonds-Briere-Read
Voracek-Schenn-JVR
Couturier-Talbot-Wellwood

That lineup isn't a good matchup against certain teams.

You really can't have a set lineup. Don't be surprised if some guys sit and some guys play.

His cap hit's not great, I'll admit that.

Freaking great win by the Flyers! That's what you call heart! I got so sick of hearing the 3 idiots brag and brag about Crybaby and the Pens. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it boys!

just an embarassing one sided display of play by play by NBC and Eddie O. But I dont think anyone should be shocked. Pittsburgh you just got Hartnell'd. suck it.
3 out of 4 points this weekend when trailing both games 2-0. This team continues to show a ton of character. Yeah you dont want to fall behind 2-0 in every game, still shows this team will not quit playing.

If they can fit that 1.1 mil under the cap next year he should be back.

Is it just me or has this team come behind in a lot of games this year... I would not be surprised if we led the league in doing that. You never feel out of it as a fan cheering for this team... lots of competetive fire shown which should show up even more come playoffs.

That win was definitely justice for that ridiculous lovefest by NBC for the Pengirls. I mean how ridiculous for them to say that Milbury was all orgasmic over the Pitt team...cut me a break!

Good game Flyers fans. I'm sure that if they played in the 4/5 round, it would go seven.

And someone would die.

Go back and look at the Pens record over the last thirty five games. It does deserve some merit..no?

No thanks for me. Don't get me wrong, I really like Jody Shelley the person, but I can't stand Jody Shelley the hockey player.

They just didn't mention it. Everyone else here knows he sucks. Hence why he is commonly referred to as "Superstar" around here.

He provides a significant level of #Jam and Lavy and Homer know what they're doing.

Aaarrgh... I missed the game b/c I spent about 5 hours on train to college... Can anyone give me a short overview (Bryz? Jagr? any fights? whining Crosby?) before I get through all those 38 pages?

Tim P. has a first copy up on CSN:

http://www.csnphilly.com/blog/flyers...280&feedID=695

Quote:
When you hear of the Pittsburgh Penguins, you think of a team with other-worldly offensive skill.

Crosby, Malkin, Staal.

Defensive play doesn’t enter the mind.

Sunday at Wells Fargo Center, the hottest team in the NHL -- which seems poised to overtake the Rangers -- threw out a brilliant defensive performance against a Flyers team that was second only to these same Penguins in goal scoring.

Pittsburgh’s forwards were simply tenacious on the back check, stifling every rush the Flyers mounted, holding them to two shots in the second period.

Yet the Flyers have shown resiliency this season as a team that is never, ever out of a game, even if they're being badly outplayed through most of it.

Just like Saturday in Boston, the Flyers mounted a third period comeback after trailing by two goals to draw even, before snapping the Pens 11-game win streak with a 3-2 overtime victory.

Awesome game!!! Not only did the guys come back from a 2 goal deficet, with a second remaining in OT was The BEST!!!
The icing on the cake: Hartnell scores, Crosby's flat on the ice!!!
Thanks for making my day

lol at Bryz not being named one of the three stars. Obviously Hartnell nets two including the OT winner so he deserves the 1st star but Bryz made 38 saves on 40 shots. He kept the flyers in this game

Bryz played awesome. Denied Crosby on at least 3 occasions. First goal was a great (and also kinda flukey) deflection, on the second goal he got really unlucky (Malkin fanned on the first shot and Bryz raised his pad right before the second. Had he kept it on the ice he would've saved it).

Jagr had a pretty good game. I thought him, Voracek and Wellwood created the most offense today.

No fight, but there was a Rinaldo/Hartnell/Letang scrum (Hartnell got Rinaldo in the face with his stick, thankfully nothing serious) and a Hartnell/Kunitz scrum (Hartnell was without a helmet on the ground and Kunitz kept scraping his face on the ice).

No Crosby whining, but a satisfying pouty face after the 3-2.

And yeah, Bryz should've been 2nd star. Simmer played a good game (great screen on Kimmo's goal), but come on ...

Read didnt even get a star in the Boston game. He scored a goal and assisted on the tying goal. all 3 stars went to Boston players.
whatever. It would of been nice to win both games, but ill take 3 out of 4 points against 2 of the top 4 teams in the East in games the Flyers were trailing 2-0.
