great race ... awful luck for Schumacher .... gutted ..... McLaren look like the early front-runners ....
The McLaren cars do seem really fast. On the late restart I thought Vettel was going to catch Button when Vettel set back to back fastest lap, but then Button pulled away and won easily. It was impressive.
Lots of other sports in there as well if you're interested. I don't watch it too much but I do hang out in the tennis thread over there a lot. I was more of an Indy fan until the series was split and now I don't watch either of them anymore.
I love how I take a break from browsing F1 boards to check on hockey and the first thread I see is an F1 thread!
I'm a fresh convert from Nascar/Indy. I used to go to the Medowlands Indy race back when I was a kid and then got in to Nascar when the open-wheels split. Making it a point this year to catch all the F1 races this year.
Still trying to figure out who to root for. The German in me says I have to go with either Mercedes or McLaren, and Schumacher was the man back when I first started watching, so I'm leaning towards Mercedes, but I suppose we'll see who wins me over. Either way, I can't believe I wasted my teens and early 20's on watching Nascar... The "rubbing is racing" mentality is fun at times, but the engineering and skill in this racing series is amazing.
And congrats on the playoff clinch! Just do me a favor and make sure you guys take those rags out, eh?

Get on the Sergio Perez train so you look smart when he starts winning Championships with Ferrari in a few years
Perez was on the absolute limit for about half the race trying to catch Alonso and he almost pulled it off. Can't wait to see Perez in a good car. Gonna be a force.
there is really only one form of racing I still follow and only 1 race I actually get excited to throw onto the speed channel. I am looking forward to seeing this monster at LeMans.
