Playoff series where you couldn't root for either team

Usually in the playoffs, when your team isn't around or is already eliminated, it isn't too difficult to find a team to pull for in an ensuing series.

However, there can be rare instances when there is a playoff series that seems like a scenario where you struggle to pick a side- a no-win situation.

2 questions:

1. Has this ever happened to you?

2. If not, what would be your worst case scenario of a playoff series/game that you wouldn't truly be so caring about who wins?

The only one for me would be Colorado Pittsburgh but it wouldn't even really matter since COLs first would then be 29th or 30th... so because of that i'd choose Colorado.

Only team i hate/dislike is the Pens.

That about sums it up. I'd have no problem cheering for any other team in the NHL if the opportunity arises. Even Edmonton. I'd kill to see Eberle score a couple OT winners (not against Vancouver, though).

My friends and I have always referred to scenarios like this as 'meteorite games'. Rather than rooting for one team or another, you root for a meteorite to hit the arena. It's actually a 'no-lose' situation rather than a no-win one because you can just take satisifaction in the misery of whoever does badly

Boston vs. Vancouver last year was a tough one for me.

I didn't want Boston to win obviously, but I still wanted to gloat to my Canuck friends that Vancouver has never won a Cup.

I think the hardest for me would be Detroit/Nashville (which may happen), I love both those teams, especially Nashville now with the acquisitions of Gill + Kostitsyn.

I'd be rooting for the Apocalypse.

Last year's final was really hard, but in the end I still wanted to watch Vancouver fans around here meltdown more than I wanted Boston to lose.

I could at least say Montreal lost to the eventual cup winner and did better than the canucks!

If it's Flyers vs. Caps I would root for Montezuma's Revenge for everyone involved.

I could also do without a Flyers or Caps/Wings final. Might pull for the Wings just a teeny bit but would just rather not have that scenario in the first place.

/obvious Pens fan answer is obvious

Anaheim vs New Jersey. Sadly, it's happened.
Another Vancouver vs Calgary series would also be painful.

This may as well be quoted by every Pens fan that comes into this thread.
