As much as I'm pissed about the lack of finish, lack of luck, a couple of defensive breakdowns, if we play like that the rest of the way (maybe not have 42 shots to 20, but that hard), we lose maybe 3 more times.
Edit: I know I'm all over the place after my rant on GDT, but I had to post something positive.
I thought the PP at stretches looked good. We were moving the puck fairly well and getting shots.
I don't think we had enough net presence though. Boyle is useless in front the net. If anyone decides to move him, he fumbles off the screen. They need to start using Rupp for that second PP unit. Boyle should be nowhere near on the PP.
Callahan is one of the willing few to go to the net, but he ain't that big and is not that hard to outmuscle.
Dubi is just an idiot in front of the net, he doesn't even screen the dude half the time. He just stands there hoping for rebounds.
if we keep playing like this offensively it's only a matter of time... only thing is, other teams are taking massive ***** on us lately. on the the Debs...should be a hoot.

They need to use big guys like Zuccarello. Kidding, but really, he did what is required on that first goal. I doubt that any of the coaches told him to do that (if that were true, wouldn't we see Boyle and other big guys doing that regularly?), he just did it himself cause he thought it was a good idea, and it was.
I have no complaints about this one, except for the turnovers here and there. Couldn't believe my eyes when I looked up at the scoreboard and saw we had 42 shots on goal.
I wouldn't mind the Pens 1st.
Washington has more ROWs than them, and I could see Ovie and Semen beating out the two douches in ****sburgh
It certainly would be good for hockey if those two teams found each other. I would also not completely hate washington for playing in a joke of division. Playing poorily for the whole year, and yet still competing for not only a playoff spot but a division lead.
Washington faces Pitt in the first round and upsets them(Yeah, probably not going to happen). They will earn my respect.
Bryz had a massive shutout streak going until tonight. Not sure if it was a league record streak or what, wasn't really paying attention. Philly's only three points behind Pittsburgh, so ...whoever wins that game tomorrow, both will still be on our heels for the East. You'd never know it with our play. We're on home ice and we let the baby Avs come in and beat us. We need to be able to put these home games away, especially now that we can't really use the excuse that we have guys injured.
More than that, we need to get some swagger. Don't know that we ever had it, even when we were leading the East by 10 or whatever it was. Teams aren't afraid of us. I honestly don't think the Pens care if we hold them off and get home ice advantage, they'll come to MSG and beat us.
Remember the year we beat Washington 6-0 and 7-0 in the regular season and I think only lost 1 game of the season series, then lost to them in the 1st round? I have a sinking feeling that Philly will end up, at this point the way we/they've been playing, beating us in a PO series.
