Really psyched to hear Gus will be playing on Pavs' wing. Hopefully he gets off to a great start and makes it tough to remove him from that line. Bert and Mule haven't exactly been tearing it up lately.

Kinda surprised, but looking forward to it. Looking at Zetterburger's line combos, and we need something in the top6 to keep the bottom6 off the ice. Those last two lines are just ugly.

I hope that report is accurate. Its late in the season, the team is plummeting, the whole squad needs a jolt. Putting Gus next to Pav just might do it. The kid has real skill and likes to shoot...he should play extremely well alongside Pav with those attributes.

I am actually excited for a game. Rare.

Also Pavel can make up for his defensive mistakes like he does with the current garbage surrounding him.

Datsyuk had Holmstrom on his line got years. This can only be looked at as a defensive upgrade.

Affirmative! Pavel's going to have to adjust to playing w/ someone who can actually skate- hasn't really had that since his last stint w/ Team Russia. It's hard to think that he wouldn't be excited to have some speed on his wing.

Not I. To me, the idea of Shanahan having his number retired borders on ridiculousness. Loved Shanny, huge part of the team, catalyst for the Cup, etc etc. But it takes more than what Shanny did to have your number retired, imo.

And if your number isn't being retired, then it's fair game for other players. Especially after what, 5 years?

Ha! Good point. Wasn't even thinking about other 14s since Shanny.

So you'd be cool with Emmerton switching to #16?

Yeah he looked pretty good. The hockey sense, creativity, hands, and motor are there; he just needs more confidence...and a few more pounds wouldn't hurt either.

Very slick.

Shades of a young Datsyuk the way he would dangle and look amazing but than go and get knocked over really easily. He puts in some training with Datsyuk i think the wings are looking at a 70 point player fairly easily in 3 years
