I am by no means a caps fan, but I was watching some old videos of OV and man would I kill to see that player again.

And to the poster who brought up stamkos as a reason of how a player can still can score 50 despite playing in that system is a retarded point. Not every player is the same.

And what the hell is wrong with caps management? Unchain OV and he will be back to his old performances. It speaks volumes when he is producing 30 goals in a system that resticts him. I will never understand franchises not playing to their players strengths, its like trying to fit a square block into a circular hole you're wasting your time.

Add 30th of season to title so noone makes another thread. All he needs is one of those every night now.

If Ovechkin adjusts his game like Kovalchuk did, OV can get back to being a dominant force in the league.

Nice shot, Keith got caught staring and reaching for the puck a past norris trophy winner should know better. Play him to the outside or atleast make contact with the body when he tries to do that.

By that do you mean fit your skill set into a defensive scheme?

This. I'm a fan of the Caps and Ovie, but even though I haven't seen a lot of games this season, in the ones I've seen he seems to try that trick multiple times a game. Definitely a sweeeet goal, I just wish he was way more efficient doing it.

Definitely a top 5 goal of the year. I don't think anyone's beating Malkin's goal against Tampa though.

The management tried that and they weren't successful in the playoffs. It's time for a change. It worked for Yzerman, Kovy, why can't it work for Ovi?

That goal is dedicated to my buddy Chris Hansen and why I'd take Brent Seabrook over Duncan Keith all day long. If Ovi tried that crazy stuff against Seabrook.......... they would be scraping his ass off the ice.

Nope. He's only entertaining when he has scored a goal.
