I think it's safe to say that the OP is a Winnipeg fan who's alittle butt hurt. I watched the highlights and saw nothing out of the ordinary, i'm not sure if E.Staal ever does the flying helicopter normally but I personally found his shriek and round trip were funny as hell.
Here's the video evidence. Eric Staal's shriek after the second Carolina goal was pretty funny.
I'm not sure that was Staal's voice. You can hear the same shrieking after LaRose's goal, but it goes on a bit longer. Kind of hard to imagine Staal on the bench freaking out that much.

Except if you actually looked at his location (Brooklyn), and avatar (NYR). Good try though.
No problem with any celebrations from me. Watching the game I was very impressed with the compete level and effort from the Canes from start to finish. It might have been easy for the Canes to mail it in a week or two ago, but they are now 5 points out of the playoffs. Good on their players for fighting until the end.

Oh right. Well, even though you can't see his face in the celebration hug it seems unlikely he'd be going THAT crazy only inches from LaRose's ear. Unless he seriously turned into a shrieking Bieber fan.
I'm thinking there was one lonely Canes fan out there in the crowd who was going bonkers.

I think the team was wooooo'ing on the bench. It was going on even on the faceoff (on Eric's 2nd, I think)
I went and watched the highlights of this game just because of this thread. Staal's celebrations were funny, but nothing about any of the goal celebrations was over the top.

The Canes have done that all year. You should have seen them in the Bruins games. They were ranked like 27th for all of them, but every goal they scored it was like they won Olympic Gold over the Soviets in 1972.

I'd rather them celebrate like that (you are beyond overexagerating their celebrations) than skate emotionlessly to the bench. At least they show pride.

I was at the game and that was Staal shrieking after LaRose's goal. He also banged his stick on the ice with an axe swing about 4 or 5 times. He was fired up and rightly so. Some guys wilt when the fans get on them, others ratchet up the intensity.

Feel free to taunt him whenever he comes to Winnipeg. I won't mind.
